A minister, a police officer, his father?

Clear as mud.

Right? Father - as in actual father of son, or Father - as in a priest?
Guess we will know soon.

The Post says “with law enforcement sources telling The Post it is a 22-year-old Utah local, Tyler Robinson.” Trump said he is 28 or 29.
Meh, he said he got the story as he was walking into Fox. Not getting the age 100% isn't a big deal. We're about to know this perp's whole life story.

I wouldn’t necessarily say that.
EU parliament is a different level than the rest of the society. They have to know figures like Kirk, that's part of their profession.

The FBI might be having the presser earlier than planned because of the Fox News interview.

''They all may think they are tough or smarter than most. But there is something else they should know. America’s state department may never let those celebrating — or making insensitive comments about — the evil political assassination of Charlie Kirk into the United States again.

Attention all of those Canadian academics, journalists and public figures: Your social media outbursts are being tracked, monitored and archived. People are being fired from their jobs stateside and, internationally, they are not going to put up with disrespect toward Kirk’s slaughter, either.''

Would the Dad be considered an accomplice after the fact or something along that line if he didn’t at least report?
I told my kids the same thing my parents told their kids - if you commit a crime, I will turn you in. I will stand by you in court, and I will visit you in prison, and I will welcome you back home after serving time, but I won't help you get away with breaking the law. Luckily we've never encountered that situation and I never expect to.

To be put to the test has to be truly awful, especially with death penalty on the table.

Suspect taken into custody on Thursday - report

The New York Times is reporting that a man was taken into custody on Thursday at 11pm MT (the local time zone in Utah), by Utah state and local police.

The Times cites a law enforcement official, who requested anonymity to talk about the case.

Hopefully it will all be cleared up in the news conference.

He’s well known around the world…

NYP reporting suspect’s identity:

President Trump announced early Friday that a suspect for Charlie Kirk’s assassination was turned in by his father — with law enforcement sources telling The Post it is a 22-year-old Utah local, Tyler Robinson.

I had a similar Dad, but it also included good parenting.

I wonder if any of the tips identify a specific person by name. I'm not even sure I believe it is a male! One thing that does stand out to me. The Converse sneakers - very popular with European teens and 20-somethings. Not as mainstream anymore with American teens and college students, who are more into Adidas Sambas, Nikes and Birkenstock right now. I wonder if its possible this POI is an international student? A long shot I know but just throwing it out there. ALL JMO

dbm. suspect has been identified.

Stumped here too, starting to think that the gun found was a plant and not the one used. I can not see stuffing a gun with a non collapsible stock down the front of your pants and walk up stairs.

Something ain’t right.

This is exactly what I think: the gun found in the woods is a plant.

The forensics would show if it is the right weapon or not by matching it with the bullet that shot Charlie Kirk.
This is true, but this, of course, depends on the investigators being forthcoming/honest with the public.

ETA- The incongruent circumstances feel "off" to me, so I am extremely skeptical at the moment. As a side note, one thing that was striking to me about the alleged perp leaving the crime scene is how calmly he does it. After he jumps off the building, he doesn't take off in a sprint, as that would draw attention to himself. Instead, he blends in with the others who are around and just walks away. That does not seem consistent with a lone wolf type or an amateur. IMO, this is someone who is used to killing people (in a professional/military capacity).

And if they have the bullet.
