I believe so too. I think the press update that was pushed back and then postponed could be an indicator that something was quickly evolving earlier today. Fingers crossed that we hear about an arrest soon.

Founder of group that used to direct Kirk’s security says it typically anticipated close-range threats​

Gregory Shaffer, founder of Shaffer Security Group, oversaw Kirk’s personal security detail from 2015 to 2022.

Shaffer said that during that period there were usually around five people in Kirk’s security detail: one beside him on stage, and others covering the front and back. They typically anticipated a close-range threats like someone attempting to climb on stage or throw something at Kirk.

It was not immediately clear if the details reflected the security situation at the event where Kirk was killed as Shaffer Security Group no longer serves Turning Point USA.

“You don’t expect a threat to come from 200 yards away on a college campus,” Shaffer said, adding that 3,000 people was a relatively small event for Kirk.

“We didn’t have enough manpower to put people on the rooftops, we didn’t have the funding to pay for a pair of binoculars that cost $3,000,” Shaffer said about his time working with Kirk. He added that campuses were expected to be a low-risk venue.

Person of interest in Kirk shooting wore shirt sent to supporters of Disabled Veterans National Foundation​

The black T-shirt worn by the person of interest in the killing of Charlie Kirk, as seen in grainy surveillance-camera images distributed by the FBI on Thursday, appears to have come from a veterans charity, the Disabled Veterans National Foundation.

The foundation confirmed to the Guardian that the shirt, with an image of an eagle over the American flag, and the words “Land of the Free” and “Home of the Brave,” taken from the final line of the US national anthem, “was mailed as a gift to potential DVNF supporters over the past few years.”

The foundation adds that it “has never sold this shirt, and it is not currently available for distribution.”

The foundation’s website indicates that, until recently, the shirt was sent to donors.

The shirt is, however, available for purchase on eBay, with either long sleeves or short sleeves.

The person in the images appears to have been wearing a long-sleeved version of the shirt, but, because the images are grainy, it is possible that the person could have been wearing a short-sleeved version over another long-sleeved shirt.

On eBay, a removable sticker on a recently sold version of the shirt has the logo of the foundation and the words: “Show your patriotism and honor our heroes who sacrificed so much so that we may enjoy the freedoms we have today by wearing this T-shirt.”

It’s my understanding that the shirt features an American flag, an eagle, and text that says “Land of the Free” above the image and “Home of the Brave” below the image. Also my understanding the shirt may be associated with a disabled veterans foundation as indicated by some online listings for the shirt.

The t-shirt in this pic looks a lot like one I've only been able to find for sale on ebay.

Compare it to the pic Tricia posted. The difference is the area to the right of the eagle and under its left wing. I've outlined that area.

With that said... if you look at the ebay t-shirt above, that area has a brownish tint. PERHAPS the camera picked up the brown, darkening it, and softening the stripes, so that that rectangular area appears to be a brown shape.

In addition to the shirt, which is unique, anybody noticing other physical attributes?

POI seems on the thin side. (w/ long thin face.)
He is stooped w/ rounded shoulders. (A lot of time at the computer screen? Musician?)
Dark shades he is wearing are also unique.
Hair under the hat is brown, or blond? (Short or shaved off? Hard to tell because pic is grainy)

Anybody else notice distinguishing features?

If he isn't identified and caught in the next 12 hours, I sure hope LE releases a moving image of his "walk". That should go an even longer way to helping someone recognizing him.

Furthermore: What is going on with his mouth? An overbite ? I'll let others describe what they see..........

The US Marshals Service — the agency tasked with locating and arresting fugitives — has now joined the search for the person who shot and killed Charlie Kirk, one law enforcement source told CNN.

The US Marshals Service had offered to help with the search in the immediate aftermath of the shooting, but that offer was not accepted until the second day of the manhunt, which is still being led by the FBI.

I was thinking they might have been before the shooting. It appears he is going up a stairwell and I can see what looks like straps on his shoulders like he has a backpack on. If he was heading up a set of stairs possibly to the roof of that building. He seems to blend in well as a student.

I suspect they do have video from after, but possibly chose these as they were clear images. I'd imagine after he might be more rushed and trying to hide himself more than he could be if he were casually walking into a building and there was no crime yet.

Since the POI in the images appears to be far too young to be a vet, disabled or not, my guess would be the shirt was either purchased intentionally to blend in (and any current online seller would know exactly who in Utah or surrounding states they shipped it to) or the shirt belonged to an older relative who may in fact be a disabled vet, and received the shirt for their support. Both angles I'm certain LE is or already has looked at very closely.

In the 'looking up' picture it seems like he might be talking to the person higher on the stairs? Hence the way his mouth looks? To me his mouth looks more 'average/normal' in the second picture. MOO

ETA in the 'looking up' picture he also doesn't seem worried to show his face.
