If those videos do show the rifle down the pants leg, I wonder if at least a minimum height can be determined by the dimensions of the recovered weapon, simply by how tall someone would have to be for it to fit in the available space.
.30-06 a little over 3' long.

Good observations.
Could the shooter navigate the stairs, though ?

For sure! He stands out like a sore thumb walking like that. I think it would draw some attention. I'm curious how he navigated the stairs with his gun if it was down his pants.

I think this is going to be a gun this person has had for years maybe for actual hunting. It seems if someone was going to buy a gun for this type of thing they would buy one that can be broken down and put together so it would be easy to bring it in and out without much thought. It doesn't appear the gun LE has shown photos of is the type to be taken apart.

Did this person not have a vehicle? Did they live near the school? Did they think parking far away and walking in and out would be better than parking at the school?
You also have to wonder if he lived nearby and the gun belonged to a relative. He looks like a student but that doesn't necessarily mean he is a student.

Informative video. Reporter explains the layout of the shooting; and goes over the placement and movements of the shooter.
Does not include actual shooting of Charlie Kirk.

New video of shooter in Charlie Kirk assassination in Utah

New video has surfaced on social media showing the shooter in the distance after the assassination of Charlie Kirk at a university in Utah. It appears the shooter was on the roof of a campus building. We also explain the difference between a person of interest and a suspect. Derek Staahl has more.

So is the T shirt and outfit to make it appear as though he is a disabled vet to cover the odd walk?

This is the same question I was about to ask. How on earth could he do that with a rifle in his pants?

He would have definitely been remembered, trying to get up those stairs with a rifle down his pants leg.
IMO.

I don't know if it's exactly the same, but post ACL surgery I had to do stairs a few times in a fully locked, no knee motion brace from groin to ankle. It's possible, you just have to swing that leg out laterally from the hip, use the handrail, and waddle like a cartoon penguin.

For relevance, IMO that would be very noticeable, if you passed someone moving that way on stairs or they appeared on video.

To me he looks very thin.
That was my first thought too upon seeing the photo. I usually don’t see much to be able to make any guesses as to what is going on when photos of suspects are released, but this person just strikes me as sickly. With how sloppy this person seems to have been, especially after the shooting, maybe it was someone who thought they had nothing left to lose.

I've been following along on this thread. Thanks to all for the great research.

IDK but I was thinking since it had a flag on it etc that he was trying to blend in, especially when everyone ran IMO. Just a thought

What kind of rifle was it? I can't recall but is it one that can be taken apart and then assembled? <modsnip: no link> My first thought was he staged that rifle earlier ( overnight maybe ). Again just a thought.

I'm begging you all to please stay on topic. If it doesn't advance finding the solution to this crime, please don't post it here.

Agreeing with you lonetraveler.

Since, it is so hard to walk with the rifle in his clothing:

a) he either lives within a mile or so of the campus,
b) he parked his car within a mile of the campus,
c) or, there was an accomplice to meet him (and drop him off earlier). he met up with that person within a mile or so from campus and they drove away after the crime.

LE has to watch a lot of video from ring cameras in those neighborhoods to figure it all out!!!!!!!

My impression is that the shooter knew the campus very well. He knew the ins and outs of getting up to the roof quickly and had planned his escape route. I don't doubt he might have staged the rifle prior to the shooting.

Agreed. Had to be familiar with the campus to get to where he did, and also to get out of there how he did.

Odd gait. Either a limp or like he hid the rifle in his pant leg.

This body type and baggy pants is similar to the Pennsylvania guy. As of the recent past these guys seem to be on the scrawny side. A substantially larger person wouldn’t have the same ability to climb up to the roof and/or disappear quickly. Just my rambling thoughts when nothing makes sense.

We have a graphic which shows the Utah Valley university campus, where Charlie Kirk was killed in a shooting yesterday.

The Google Earth view shows the potential escape route on an elevated walkway.

This person is limping!
Is the gun hidden in the trouser leg??
I think it’s certainly safe to say this is no hired assassin.
