I just told my adult son that making that decision would have been the hardest struggle of my life. But, you can't murder someone like that and not face consequences.

And, can't be allowed to commit further violence against other people. It's a no brainer, really, even if totally heartbreaking, to make the decision the father made. jmo

I was just looking through the photos on his mom’s Facebook. They really looked like the All American family. Lots of smiles and family activities together. Vacations, sports, camp, riding 4 wheelers, Hawaii trips, cruises…the works. And their eldest boy Tyler was the apple of his mother’s eye.

What went so wrong? So sad, I bet his parents are distraught. What a world we live in where someone feels empowered to pull this off.

in one of the first pictures that was posted of him here he’s wearing a t-shirt that says “be the change you want to see in the world”. my feeling is that he probably wanted to make a positive change by taking out someone he saw as a bad guy. obviously very, very misguided. he must have felt like (despite what it looks like from the outside) losing his future wasn’t a very big loss. throw in some desensitisation to violence, some black and white thinking, being able to forget that someone whose politics you despise is still human, some “wanting to be someone” in the grand scheme of things. jmo.

I'm guessing he used a towel from home that his mother likely purchased. I know that is the least thing to worry about, but I just feel the gut punch she likely feels.

I am confused in terms of the car, it will have licence plates on so the owner details would be easily traceable, could have been a hire car or stolen but i would have thought police could have found him via the car
