How will his defence be funded? Will his obviously very decent family be expected to beggar themselves to pay for it?
Would he be treated as financially independent of his parents as he is an adult?
I imagine a guilty plea so no trial.

Oh Bella Ciao
Resistance Movement/Marxism notations there

Bella Ciao is a song ...... Bella ciao is an Italian song dedicated to the partisans of the Italian resistance, who fought against the occupying troops of Nazi Germany and the collaborationist Facist forces during the liberation of Italy

From presser, the casings did have inscriptions but most were cryptic to my ears. Disturbed, whatever they were.
And I didn't hear that any of the inscriptions were pro-trans, as was reported (and walked back) by the WSJ.
IMO.

He confessed to a family member !

Family states,

  • Tyler became more political in recent years.
  • Tyler had mentioned & discussed Charlie Kirk at dinner and spoke with family members about him, . Stated that Kirk "spreaded hate"
Discord Msgs; including content of msgs between Tyler and the roomate,
  • Msg stating a need to retrieve a rifle from a drop-point.
  • A msg referred to engraving bullets, a scope and the rifle being unique

Inscriptions on fire casings read,
  • "NOTICES BULGES OWO? WHATS THIS?"
  • "Hey fascists! Catch! vvv"
  • "O bella ciao, bella ciao, bella ciao"
  • "If you read this, you are gay. LMAO"

Suspect taken into custody at 10PM local time last night (Sept. 11, 2025)

How many words can be written on a bullet?

I haven't seen the mugshot online but it is on screen in the presser. I'll say this about Tyler: in every pic he looks like a different person. Like Ted Bundy.

IMO, he's a legal adult. He can figure that out by himself. Or should.

This is a death penalty case. He needs to shut up until he has a lawyer and trade a plea for life.

I hope so. I would not want to see his parents bankrupted after a lifetime of honest work to pay for lawyers. His father really does not deserve that after a lifetime of service in LE.

What a shock to his family. What a complete tragedy.

If he confessed then very unlikely he will plead not guilty, a standard court house/police lawyer could handle this case
Depends on who he confessed to, how it was recorded, if he signed anything, and who witnessed it. I predict 100% a not guilty plea. If he's lawyered up, they'll all but twist his arm to plead not guilty.

Murderers don’t come from just one background. It isn’t limited by gender, income, education, or opportunity.

History shows killers who came from privilege just as much as from poverty—
  • Ted Bundy — educated, law student, politically active, came from a middle-class background, yet committed dozens of brutal murders.
  • Dennis Rader (BTK) — a church leader, Boy Scout troop volunteer, and city compliance officer, living a stable suburban life while secretly killing for decades.
  • O.J. Simpson — a wealthy, world-famous athlete and actor with every opportunity, yet accused and acquitted of double murder before later being convicted of other serious crimes.
  • Scott Peterson — college-educated, suburban life with a pregnant wife, projected a picture-perfect family image while plotting her murder.
  • Chris Watts — steady job in the oil industry, nice suburban home, young family; murdered his wife and daughters to pursue a new relationship.
  • The Menendez Brothers — raised in Beverly Hills luxury with access to privilege and education, yet gunned down their parents in cold blood.
  • Robert Durst — heir to a billion-dollar real estate fortune, Ivy League education, yet implicated in multiple murders and notorious for manipulating the system.
Circumstances don’t guarantee morality; choices do.

IMO, some people are just evil..
bbm, all male list though
As the saying goes, not all men but *almost* always a man

* added for those who will point out the small % of exceptions to the rule

What makes you think that?

NYP reporting suspect’s identity:

President Trump announced early Friday that a suspect for Charlie Kirk’s assassination was turned in by his father — with law enforcement sources telling The Post it is a 22-year-old Utah local, Tyler Robinson.

Where’s the NYP and Austin Ayers’ source? Shame on them for posting that kid’s photo without an official confirmation!

MOO JMO
This dovetailed with the "we have a name" gossip circulating, alleging that someone at the last night's presser was overheard saying it, IMO.
Also reported in the Telegraph:
