I think this is some straight up hillbilly talk. Seriously some uneducated hillbilly talk is all. The whole ''underneath of her hair'' and ...from when IT happened. Not saying they are innocent or guilty at all but they are definately hillbilly.

From the transcripts of Nancy Grace show:

R. NORTON: Yes, because I happened to have -- before I gave her the bath that night, we had trimmed the underneath of her hair, so I had fresh hair in the bathroom so -- from when it happened.

Possibly Destiny Norton Sighting In Farmington

(KUTV) FARMINGTON, Utah Police are looking for a black truck after a possible Destiny Norton sighting in Davis County.

Officials say a man called police after seeing a young girl that he thought looked like 5-year-old Destiny Norton, missing for the last week.

The sighting occurred at the Smith’s grocery store at 1316 North Highway 89. The man told police dispatch that the little girl’s teeth looked like Destiny’s.

(KUTV) FARMINGTON, Utah Police are looking for a black truck after a possible Destiny Norton sighting in Davis County.

Officials say a man called police after seeing a young girl that he thought looked like 5-year-old Destiny Norton, missing for the last week.

The sighting occurred at the Smith’s grocery store at 1316 North Highway 89. The man told police dispatch that the little girl’s teeth looked like Destiny’s.

Officers Question Drum Circle Participants

SALT LAKE CITY FBI agents and Salt Lake City police interviewed people attending the weekly drum circle at Liberty Park on Sunday to see if they may have had any information of the disappearance of 5-year-old Destiny Norton.

Destiny Norton and her parents had attended the drum circle the previous Sunday, authorities said.

Hours later, the girl, barefoot and wearing an adult-size black and gray T-shirt, disappeared from the backyard of her home.

Oh this sounds sooo good!
The news just said that the person who reported her saw
"what appeared to be green streaks in her hair"
and "silver caped bottom teeth"
Another witness said that that truck seemed suspicious.
It had camping gear in the back of it, but no camping shell.
They headed south (which would be towards Salt Lake)

I hope whoever has her has decided to take her home!!

I sure hope this ends up being the real deal and not just a fluke. Seems promising though!

ETA: I wonder how long it would take them to run the partial plate number and narrow down who that type of truck may belong to?

I think it's the real deal!
They are searching right now in the mountains in Farmington/ Bountiful.
There is a helicopter flying over with a spot light.
They have the Amber alert going every 15 min on the news/ radio.
Let’s hope that there is good new by morning!!

ETA: They have a really good description of the guy, his truck,
and parts of the license. I think they will probably know who he is soon.

5'5, male, 40 yrs old, 160 lbs, black hair, white t-shirt, sorts, skater shoes, black dodge extended cab
truck with a "sports" sticker on the rear. Ski Utah plate with 915, or 519.

Sadly, they just canceled the Amber Alert. They found the truck, but not Destiny. They said the driver had nothing to do with the case.

Did two people actually see a little girl with this man in his truck? If they did then what happened to the little girl? If they were able to describe the man and what he was wearing and his truck then they must have seen a girl with him. He must have been out of the truck if the could describe his shoes and shorts. Was the little girl out of the truck I wonder? Where they at a store that might have a camera? He must have been stopped somewhere for something for the witnesses to see his clothing...at some store or gas station.
I wonder if the witnesses were together or did they make seperate reports and didn't even know each other. I'm so curious because it sounds so "right on."

I think maybe the article has been updated and the man's picture is no longer in the article. LE had a tip about a man seen with a girl thought to be Destiny and LE got his picture from a convenience store video tape. The man and girl were later located and it was determined that the girl is not Destiny.

I think it is off. One article I read said the little girl in the truck turned out not to be Destiny...so it must have been a look alike.

Campers are going to the mountains there in droves (they are turning people away) and many say they will be on the lookout. I hope someone spots her.

I didn't call your kids punks. I was not at all rude to you or about your kids so no need to get all emotional and take things personally. And it IS my opinion, I didn't say it was law. What you call "celebrating" the fact that your kids are into being different, and that you allow hair coloring at a young age, I call something else.

And what does it matter anyway? I clearly said that regardless of how I felt about Destiny's parents style of parenting, that she did not deserve to be snatched from them and going/gone through God knows what. Destiny doesn't deserve it nor do her parents.

ETA: Not that I owe you an explanation, but I would like to clear up just the same, that when I said "punk" I didn't mean it as in "no good", I meant as in a "punk rock" look, like what some kids are into in middle school or high school.

I'm also sorry. I took Punk to mean "punk" as a bad thing. Punk rocker is cool by me. So again, sorry for the outburst, I'm just being protective mama.
