UT - Draper - Suspect dead in officer involved shooting

A West Valley police officer who stopped to offer assistance to a man slumped behind the wheel ended up shooting the man following a struggle.

The officer found some kind of drugs in the vehicle and was attempting to arrest the man for a narcotics violation Ining said. He and two other Draper officers were trying to get the man out of his car when the man pulled out a "kitchen knife of some sort, a fairly good sized knife," and the struggle continued.
