thanks BeanE.. I did not catch that they are charging her with murder as well. the feed at fox was going in and out. The other outlets, insofar as I have read, are not picking it up as well. The reporter who is tweeting from fox did tweet that charges would be filed in the morning... and of course we will most likely see them do a perp walk. Disgusting what they have done... snuffed out a little life that we will never know the potential of. That is what is the most disheartening to me here at websleuths... that others seem to take a life into their own hands and end it without any regards to that life and what it could become of it.

Wow. So, the mother isn't being charged with murder??

I'm still catching up reading but wanted to comment on this. Remember it took several weeks for little Aveion Lewis's birth mother to be charged after his step was charged? LE prolly needs a little more before they can up the charges on bio mom.

I think there is still some confusion in the press. According to this article:

"At 5 p.m. the boy's body was found. Layton City Police Department in a press conference stated that charges have been leveled against the boy's mother, 27-year-old Stephanie Sloop, and stepfather, 31-year-old Nathan Sloop. They have been charged with aggravated homicide, felony child abuse, obstruction of justice and desecration of a corpse." BBM

This is so sad. I'm not going to read the comments on any of the media sites. They aren't moderated for accuracy and who knows is people are adding things to deliberately make the story more gory.

RIP Ethan.... You are in the Lords arms now. No one will ever hurt you again. I am sooooo very sorry you were made to go visit your mommy and her DH. I am keeping your daddy in my prayers.

I was wondering that, too. Are they just initials or were they spelled out and LE is just abbreviating them? Are they past partners? My daughter's ex has at least 3 or 4 different womens names tattooed on him. Shows a lot of instability.
