Maybe obvious but anyone checking the Known sex offender registry in this area?

Yes, put the address in and bingo, not happy with what I found, really concerned.

I hate reading about missing children. I hope she is found safe. Has the apartment building been checked? So many times, these missing children are right under our noses and not found until it's too late.

I hope the location at 2220 South and 500 East needs to be checked out. Lots of truck trailers and such on that lot.

Yeah, lots of places to hide there.

Ugh, I hope she's just hiding. Or with a school friend.

Somewhere I read they are not only knocking on doors, but renocking on doors. I hope that means yes they are checking the apartment bldg. But is everyone allowing them in?

There are 53 in that zip code. I haven't found any in the same complex, but there are several within a couple of blocks.

Way cool! Now I can really drive down 500 East. I just do not remember that building. Here is a link:

Wow, that's awesome pics.
SQ,
I am thinking it is the townhome complex that runs between 4th and 5th East. If it's the one I'm thinking, it has been there as long as I can remember. I use to cut through there all the time because it goes all the way through from 5th East to 4th East. My cousins use to live in the big white house on the corner of 3rd East by the Interstate. It's actually split into 3 apartments.

I'm mentally driving up and down 500 east. I can see the I-80 Bridge. The white ornate school type/ library building on the left hand sign....no apartment buildings. It's driving me nuts! And isn't there that big old red brick school on the corner of 2100 South and 500 East?

Yes, that is St. Anne's Catholic School and church. I lived at both of the two houses on the corner of 6th East and 2100 South between about 1984 and 2000.

Technology is crazy. I "drove" into the complex. It's larger than I thought. Anyone notice the lady getting out of her car? I wonder if she knows she's featured on google maps? Another thought I had is 500 East doesn't look like it. But it's a pretty busy road. I wonder if LE checked out the tapes at the 7-11 on the corner of 2100 So and 500 East?

I was at 3900 South and 300 east from 1987 to 1990. We were practically neighbors!

Here's another link http://www.familywatchdog.us for national registry for sex offenders, just punch in address. Really use it a lot.

I lived at about 3300 S and 300 East for about 3 years before we moved to 2100 S. So yes, we most certainly were. This case is making me extremely home sick and nostalgic, but also scared. It makes me sad that children are not safe in an area that I felt safe for so many years.

I haven't seen the area since I moved to Texas in 2000. I know parts of it were going downhill when I left, but I have no idea what it's like now. If the Townhomes complex is the one I think it is, there were alot of lower income families staying there, even back then.

To answer someone else's question, this area is mostly homes that were built in the 60's. Few apartment complexes around, and almost no businesses. At least 8 or 9 years ago that is what it was like.

SQ,
I'm guessing he actually lives in the South Parc Townhomes complex, per the address given for him. Hopefully he was checked out early yesterday.

It looks like the address for him is across the freeway but it looks like houses, maybe one is broken up into apartments?

I don't know how the area is now, but the entire 2100 South and State street area got really bad. I know my daughter and I were stopped at the intersection a couple of years back and there was an obvious hooker displaying herself on the corner, right in front of the Subway sandwich shop and it was on like 8am! Then there is the homeless guy that's always there with his shopping cart and chihuahua. He loves that dog. He takes better care of it than himself.

sorry if I missed it, what's the zip?

Gotcha. I'm not quite awake this morning I guess.

I love streetview, as long as I'm not caught in one of the pictures.

I wondered the same thing. Is there still another gas station across the street from the 7-11? It use to be called Rainbow, but not sure what it is now or if it's even still there. Also, 5th East is Busy, especially during traffic hours. Don't forget, that buses run 5th East about every 15 minutes, there's a possibility someone abducted her and took off on the bus also.
