Dead thread, but I would say yeah. It looks unnatural how flat this guy's face is and considering the cause of death is listed as "blunt force trauma to the head", that might be the reason for the weird profile.Has the deceased nose been broken, head injury??? That's an unusual profile imho.

It looks like a bad recon to me. Well, many times they're bad. His paper was from the court house and probably did not have a picture on it. Likely didn't have his name on it or if it did, the name was faded or somehow not on the piece of paper or whatever he had.Dead thread, but I would say yeah. I really wish they would release pics of it. Could be such a clue. His paper was from the court house and probably did not have a picture on it. Likely didn't have his name on it or if it did, the name was faded or somehow not on the piece of paper or whatever he had.

Here are a couple articles that might shed some light on this.It looks like a bad recon to me. Well, many times they're bad. They actually sent the papers to the FBI for analysis, but even the FBI couldn't discern much. I'm not sure the general public could do any better, but it wouldn't hurt trying.I really wish they would release pics of it. Could be such a clue.
Sorry, I responded to the thought about his "not so good" recon and hadn't realized that you were referring to the piece of paper in his pocket!I really wish they would release pics of it. Could be such a clue.
Maybe this is how the Doe Network discerned that this man died in 1992. If the days of the week are listed for April, it should be easy to figure out the year. They actually sent the papers to the FBI for analysis, but even the FBI couldn't discern much. 1994 John Doe
Clipping found in The Daily Spectrum published in St. George, Utah on 9/12/1994. 1994 John Doewww.newspapers.com
"But years of harsh weather have stripped the court and sheriffs papers of any handwriting that would list the man's name or address. Attempts by the FBI lab to discern the writing have been unsuccessful. The events list - describing entertainment at local Flagstaff bars - is printed on newsprint, which is worn and torn away in places. What is apparent is the month, April, and the days of the week, but not the year. "
That's a really good point! I wonder if that was actually ever checked. Many of the articles state investigators thought the date was 1986 on the papers, but admitted they weren't sure.Maybe this is how the Doe Network discerned that this man died in 1992. Yes sorry, we were late to post!Identified - James Howard Conklin, 43. No photo is available. Another @othram ID, I believe.![]()
