Wowza, I wonder what that was about?

I did not that he completed is probation and seemed to have a clear license now but it makes me wonder what he did to required probation to begin with.

Police said they do not have suspects, but anyone who had access to the home would be considered "persons of interest." Investigators have interviewed "a lot of people," according to Captain McLachlan. Police do not think there is reason for people living nearby to be alarmed, calling the killing an "isolated" event.
The more I'm reading, I wonder if it's possible he worked a 12 hour shift. He got home at 8:20am, and with a 20 minute commute, could've gotten off work at 8:00am. The articles are saying the last known times for Kimberly to be alive were between 8:00pm-10:00pm, when she was getting the kids ready for bed, with no mention of the husband being home. I'm still curious why LE believes it to be an isolated incident unless there was some bad blood between her and someone who had access to the house and LE has an idea who it is. :waitasec:

TOD and what time his shift started! Seeing now that work is at least a half hour away, that would put him getting off work before 8am, but we don't know what the latest is he could have left home that previous evening. The articles seem to indicate though that he was gone by 10pm.

Who would be that pissed off at her that they would bash her head in? And while she was sleeping with her kids nearby?

In a highly populated city, with as many looney tunes as SLC has, if the police are saying "isolated incident," don't panic; they know who it is and my guess is husband.

Arrived 1/8, drove back to Md. on 3/17. :D Family issues, but I thought it was beautiful. Hard adjustment from life in DC though.

Oh yeah, big adjustment I'm sure. Well I'm happy to hear you made both moves safely.

Your guess could be right ~ with no signs of forced entry, no burglary or other disturbance to the house, no sexual assault (that's been reported) and I'm not seeing any motive from outside the house. MOO

One of the articles also said LE was checking into others who may have had some access to the house. Since she was in the bedroom it seems to me that she was asleep when whoever entered the house and the murder occurred. Being that the husband works at a hospital, it could be easily verified if he was at work the entire shift or not ~ unless he clocked out for his meal break and could've gotten home and back within that time.

Certainly different hospitals might have different policies on breaks, but my mom is an RN and works 12 hour shifts with only a 30 minute lunch break and two 15 minute breaks.

It would probably depend on the department too. My mom works in a very busy E.R. and sometimes doesn't even get a break.

I think they might be calling it an isolated incident only because there was no forced entry. They still may not know who all had access to the home but since the perp was probably known to the family, or at least her, and COD seems rather personal, they don't think there is a danger to others.

Not saying that the town shouldn't be worried, but I think that is their reason for deeming it an isolated incident.

I'm wondering how that female neighbor knew the victim hadn't put out the trash. If it's in bags, how would she know which trash is whose. If the kids were fed and put to bed fairly early, you'd think a meticulous housekeeper would have put the trash out way before 8-10:00 at night and surely wouldn't have gone to bed without doing it. Something could have been very off that day and night if the neighbor thought the lack of trash, or even missing trash was so very odd. Hmm, is the trash actually missing or just wasn't put out at all.

I think this is an important clue. If Kimberly was a great housekeeper, so much that her neighbors noticed, and they thought it odd that her trash wasn't taken out the night before the garbage man came, there must have been a reason. I just don't think it's a coincidence. And if the timeline for bathes and bedtimes came from her husband, it really make me wonder why Kimberly was unable to take the trash out that night. And the next morning turns up dead.
