She considered KR to be her best friend!

witness became aware that her residence wasn't actually hers because Kouri had taken out a loan on the property unbeknownst to the witness. In addition the deed conveying the property to witness apparently had never been recorded with the county.

A deed in leu of foreclosure was then signed by Kouri AND recorded conveying the property to someone else because Kouri hadn't paid on that loan.

Her dear friend was summarily evicted by those new owners.

defense objected to this line of questioning but prosecution won out and it is in.

prosecution wants to admit a June of 2022 text exchange between the two women. Defense of course objects with sidebar.

KR signed the feed over to the house she'd promised her best friend, where her best friend had been living and paying the mortgage.

If she could do that to her life-long best friend... that says a lot about what she would be willing to do for more money than that.

She gave her life savings to her friend as a down payment and lost it all. This makes me as mad as anything I have heard so far.

In their/her limited defense, I imagine they had a frank discussion with KR prior to trial. KR IMO forced this to trial forcing them to defend her defenseless case.

I would have had to choose a new profession.

Eric told Kouri NO about taking the 250,00 for midway mansion, that is why she went behind his back and took out the line of credit. Because he told her no. Bottom line. That is what she is whining about in this phone call. And then she says she paid that all off in months and now they are trying to take her house. I have no right to this house and I put $60K into it of my own money into that pool out there.

waaaaa Eric put Kouri's equity in his trust. as if she had contributed anything but DEBT to that house. we heard the forensic accountant testify she never paid that money back. Defense made a big deal about how Eric didn't pay it off even after he found out it existed.
