"As I was leaving he was asking me a bunch of questions just about where I was going, what I was doing, why was I in Salt Lake. He asked me where I was working," she said.

"And then a couple weeks later he tried to friend me on Facebook and I just didn't accept it because it's a little weird."

Salt Lake SWAT team takes 2 into custody, but no word if connected to missing Utah student case
Salt Lake police took two men into custody about 9:20 a.m. at an apartment complex at 1028 S. West Temple.

Police did not confirm or deny whether the men are connected to the disappearance of missing University of Utah student Mackenzie Lueck.

The men were seen outisde the apartment complex walking toward a police SWAT team with their hands over their heads and they were then put into handcuffs.

Salt Lake police announced Thursday that the owner of a house in the Fairpark neighborhood, 31, is considered a "person of interest" in the disappearance of Lueck.

Police: 1 taken into custody in Mackenzie Lueck case
Salt Lake police took one man into custody Friday in connection with the disappearance of missing University of Utah student Mackenzie Lueck.

The man and a second man were taken into custody about 9:20 a.m. at an apartment complex at 1028 S. West Temple. Police later said on Twitter that only one person was taken into custody in the case.

The men were seen outside the apartment complex walking toward a police SWAT team with their hands over their heads and they were then put into handcuffs.

A press conference is scheduled for 11:30 a.m.

Mackenzie Lueck disappearance: 'Person of interest' wanted secret room with hooks on its wall built in home, contractor reveals

BW, a local contractor, told Fox News that the individual who owned that home reached out to him in April and asked him to build a “soundproof” room there.

“He slowly added on other requests, like building a secret door and adding hooks to the wall,” BW said, explaining how the individual asked him to come to the home and give him an estimate for the potential project.

BW added that the person, who police have not identified, said he wanted construction done as soon as possible, “before his girlfriend got back into town.”

The contractor, who owns a home repair business in Utah, said he was “weirded out” by the whole scenario and turned down the job offer, telling the individual he was too busy.
