I'm not sure he is even involved with the NYC lawyer. I'm getting the vibe that she stepped in to help the family figure out what is happening to their son in a system unfamiliar them, not necessarily to help him. Maybe I'm totally off base.

I’m thinking the same thing and it’s unfortunate that his family chose that particular lawyer, just because they knew her. My heart goes out to his family too. They are also victims of his depravity.

Thanks! And bearing in mind that we know that for some time between 2:09 and 2:42 she was collecting a piece of checked luggage, I think her time within the airport is adequately explained. (It might even be good to add that to the timeline. At first we wondered whether she had checked luggage, or just a carry-on.)

Yes, it has been explained.

Initially, we couldn’t make sense of the time gap between her arrival, and departure in the Lyft.

After we saw the timeline, it became clear that she didn’t spend any more time there then she had to.

Thanks, MsBetsy! Do i have to justify why i deleted the comment or writing delete is enough?
You can just write delete. You have to write something in its place or it won't work. I learned that the hard way once.

DBM is often used—it stands for ‘deleted by me’, and no explanation is needed. All you actually need is a placeholder—some people just type a period.

And, you don’t need to feel bad or delete anything. It was all the fault of CNN! :)
Yes... but apparently i was "giving ideas to the defense attorneys" with my questions. Which for some it could be taken as a compliment. Not my case...
Again, i was not taking sides nor defending AA. It just made me wonder if someone else is also involved in ML's disappearance.

I wouldn’t be concerned about something like that.

His attorney is going to look at the evidence against him, and then develop some alternate theory.

There’s only so many ways you can do that, and it’s not exactly rocket science.

So I've been thinking about how he got ML to meet him in the park. Understanding a lot more about his conman, pathologically lying, charming at first or on the surface narcopath personality, and following other cases where you want to say to the woman involved, "no! don't trust him" but it's too late, here are a couple theories:

1. The No Sex/Friends Meeting Card - So I can imagine a scenario in which they've been talking and flirting for awhile, and he has become increasingly persistent or aggressive about meeting, and because he's up late, she's bored on the flight, they are texting or messaging and he proposes a meeting, she declines, says she's not up for sex, circumstances, etc. He suggests, "hey no, I don't want sex, I just want to meet you. We'll just talk, hang out, in fact, we won't even go to my house - we'll just meet at a park, maybe smoke some pot and hang out and talk in my car." She falls for it, and it kind of explains her comfy attire. Sending the "friend zone" signals. (I've had guys try this line many times, but I'm a lot older and more cynical than I was at Kenzie's age.) Maybe Mr. "Cost is No Object" promised her other things. I don't know. No victim blaming, the guy is a psychopath con man. The second she gets in the car, he incapacitates her and takes and turns off her phone and it's game over. He was vastly bigger and stronger than her.

2. The "I'm Having a Crisis" Card. Kind of the same as above, only this time he plays the sympathy card. Oh, I recently lost someone too - my grandmother/mother (narcissists do this a lot to get you to get your guard down) died, etc., whatever, I really could just use a friend to talk to. Really, no sex, we'll just talk in the car and I'll drive you home after.

Also I don't really understand how anyone can think this was accidental, when his sex and violence obsession is obvious, many people got a creepy vibe from him, etc, not too mention that he clearly planned this to a degree to not link back to him. If she was a willing participant in sex, for example, why the subterfuge? He clearly (IMO) has been having sex, torture, and grisly death fantasies for awhile. ML was just his unlucky victim.

Someone has been helping him through the quagmire of his life while he has been in the United States. INS takes seriously folks who are in our country illegally...In the 1990s...I worked for INS in Honolulu and we were constantly hunting down people...and throwing them out.
I'm actually amazed that he wasn't investigated for fraud earlier. It seems like there were many signs.

The college wasn't going to allow him to continue because his citizenship was in question so he found a wife in order to get around it.

I wonder if it's not too late for him to be denaturalized. I'm not sure what difference it would make but they could add more charges if they can prove that he lied on any paperwork during the process.
Which I believe he would have. Imo

That would be a federal violation, and fortunately, it’s the least of his worries.

You can’t file federal charges on top of state ones, as those would be litigated in separate courts.

It would be a waste of money and resources at this point.

Wait a sec—has he even been naturalized? I know we’ve heard various stories, but my last impression was that he had a green card.

So. Let’s say she didn’t go to the park at 3am but just took the Lyft to his house. How would that have changed things?

Then, the police would have known sooner exactly where she was, I suppose. Her father reported her missing only a few hours later, IIRC. And by the next day, they had talked to the Lyft driver, who couldn't ID the man in the car, but if he had dropped her off at AA's house, police might have been there within 48 hours, and more evidence would have been preserved.

No. She disappeared on Monday. Her father reported her missing on Thursday. (I’ve seen where you got the ‘few hours later’ info, but it’s wrong)

Yeah, I think this is at best, an open question.

His booking information said he was, but that’s not likely to be accurate.

We’ve heard about a student Visa and green card, but nothing about him actually obtaining citizenship.

According to Flight Aware her flight arrived at Gate F21 which is Terminal 1 at SLC.

Southwest (WN) #3235 ✈ 16-Jun-2019 ✈ KLAX - KSLC ✈ FlightAware

On this map of the airport - you will have to move around and zoom to see the details of Terminal 1 - including being able to see the gates on Concourse F. Gate 21 is almost the furthest you can possibly be from Baggage Claim. On the map there is a control to switch between level 2 and ground level. Concourse F is on level 2 of the terminal. Baggage Claim is on Ground level and is the 4 rectangles that can be seen at the north end (top) of Terminal 1.

Yes, that's still unclear. During the first PC a reporter mentioned him being from Somalia. Then we heard Nigeria.
I wouldn't be surprised if he lied at times about where he was from to avoid being detected somehow or depending on what suited him. Imo

Biggest unanswered questions at this point:

What was the nature of their relationship?

How did this park meetup come about?

Who shut her phone off?

Where did the attack begin?

How did her murder occur?

How the hell was this guy a model?

I guess you misinterpreted my question or i didn't express myself clearly... Please bear with me... What if ML had someone waiting for her at the airport? What if it was not a pleasant surprise? What if that person followed her? What if she turned her phone off because that person wouldn't stop calling her? What if that person followed ML and AA to his house? It's a plausible possibility...

and then what?
killed Kenzie and left AJ as a witness???
it's not plausible IMO

There’s nothing here that a defense team isn’t already thinking about. And they have more information than we do so their choices for alternate theories are even more extensive.

The link that i read this morning (my time). It said ML texted her mom at 1 am and left the airport at 2 am.

(...)In the still shots snatched from Salt Lake City International Airport videotape, Lueck is seen wearing a black backpack and carrying a stylish handbag as she exits the airport's departure area sometime after 2 a.m. on Monday, June 17. Lueck had arrived at the airport after attending a family funeral in California. She texted her mother at 1 a.m. Monday when she landed in Salt Lake City, according to CNN affiliate KSTU.(...)

Last known images of missing Utah college student released by Salt Lake City police - CNN

I haven't caught up but I just want to say do not feel bad, this is entirely understandable. Just a week or so ago, all were doing the same here saying things did not add up and trying to fill in the missing time and more because the times did not add up on flight arrival and time at the airport, her text to her mom, etc. People were looking up flights and trying to figure out which one she would have been on and when it came in, etc. and even wondering if she flew from LAX or another airport. I don't think it was until a PC when the assistant chief specified when the mom received her text it was California time, different than Utah time, etc. that it began to make sense and there was finally some real detail to go by. It is unfortunate when incorrect media still exists :)

I am not concerned... And i'm not looking for my 5 minutes of fame. I thought it was a new time line, i didn't notice it was from 06/26.
I just wanted to fill "the extra hour". Wait... i wanted someone to answer me, that's why i asked what happened from 2 am to 3 am.
Anyways... Do attorneys give credit to mental gymnastics? (I'll have to discussed mental gymnastics with a psychoanalyst later).
