He was charged with murder.

The purpose of the arrest warrant is to justify the charges. Part of that, is showing that she was dead in the first place, and that the crime was elevated to “aggravated.”

Body desecration does this, thus, they had to include it.
I will defer to you, MassGuy. Obviously you know more than me.

It was 27 boxes, and most boxes have 20 rounds.

Considering that weapon, it’s not an unusual number of rounds.
I'm sorry...what weapon? ty

It’s not about “knowing more,” it’s about the purpose of an arrest warrant.

You have to justify charges, and show that there is probable cause.

You can’t ignore what is necessary, because people will run wild with it.

That’s out of your control.

Yes, but did AA have one. I didn't realize that one was found...

We haven’t heard if they recovered the weapon. I imagine they did, and we just don’t know about it.

We shouldn’t have known about the rounds in the first place.

Respectfully--we do not have all the Facts so we are not investigating here--we are speculating?

Correct. WE can only speculate. My understanding of your comment was that LE was speculating initially. Apologies.

Edited for typos.

Just checked in and am so happy that they have recovered Kenzie's remains so her family can lay her to rest. I never thought AA burned her entire body in his back yard. Too risky, even though he hasn't proven himself to be the sharpest tool in the shed.

I think he's been talking and disclosed the location for a plea too, and if that's the case Kenzie's family would have had some decision or input in that I think. LWOP works for me!

Ok then, MG....how did our buddy PF escape aggravated charges? The "no body" thingie? Because if anybody deserves aggravated (ing) charges, it's him!

Different state, different laws.

He was still charged with first degree murder, which carries the same potential punishment.

Her ads are still up, I'm fairly surprised at this point. RIP Kenzie.

Does anyone know how deep this water is?

Looking upstream for a map / pics to see how long and wide this body of water is.

I thought it was described as a “stream”...

ETA: watching the video above, that water moves fast. I wonder where it dumps out to.

The Water is not deep for the most part but maybe 2-3 feet at most. It is a fast moving river, but I can't imagine why they would need diving equipment for the river, but maybe a nearby body of water?

I also look at the canyon, and while the canyon is large there is not a huge amount of spots where someone can get "far" off the road and dispose of a body without running a HIGH risk of being seen, even late at night and especially hard to get far off the main road with a Kia Optima.

The spot that someone earlier saw was marked with tape, is just too close to the road for me to believe he stopped there and took that risk. The canyon is narrow and steep and would be hard to accomplish alone IMO.

Can anyone tells what the writing says on this box being carried out?

Search for missing student turns up 'person of interest'

When I first saw the photo I assumed that was an AR-15 in the box but reading the conversation here I realized that might be wrong (or at least not verified). If it's just a general "evidence box" then what else is approx that size/shape? Baseball bat? Golf club?

MOO.

I see “Palmetto” I think...

Google’s first results relate to AR-15.

ETA / one link, example:

“Palmetto State Armory is your one-stop shop for all your firearms needs. Check out our great selection of guns from AR-15, AR-10, AK-47, Hunting Rifles, Pistols, & Shotguns from top quality brands. Whether it's for hunting, home defense, or concealed carry we can help you find the perfect firearm today.”

He took too many precautions to evade detection for it not to be prepared. Moo, of course. I don't think he is a SK either. He is the typical killer who is so caught up in his wants and needs, that he greatly underestimated the risk, and got sloppy.

As far as I know, the only "precaution" we know of is the possible turning off of ML's cell phone once she got in the car... and we don't know anything about the circumstances of that... at all. We just know that it happened.

Everything else could easily be attributed to a haphazard attempt at covering up the crime.

That's an Altima
This has probably been mentioned but I’m still catching up but I’m 98% sure that’s a Toyota Camry.

ETA - now I’m caught up and see it’s been talked about. :)

On another note — is this the other guys car? The one he was arrested with (who was let go?) maybe some kind of rental or something?

Great sleuthing @margarita25 ! That looks like the same logo as on the box to me. Seems they did find an AR-15. MOO.
