Not to the murder. Ok so what? Everything else points to AA. I don’t think most murders have eye witnesses.

Witness only to her request to be dropped off at the park and getting into the car willingly. MOO
I know, but my point was he claims all the evidence is digital. It isn't. That's not even counting what was found of her in his backyard.

I haven't posted since we heard the horrific details of what Kenzie endured from this monstrous non-human being. Sometimes there are just no words. As I read last eve and into the night, I was overwhelmed with deep anger, wrath, outrage toward him and deep, the deepest sympathy for dear Kenzie, innocently and unsuspectingly trusting this horrible monster. The unfairness in having her life ended in such a horrific manner. I always have a big problem with why anybody thinks they're this entitled. He makes me sick. My deepest sympathy, love and thoughts to her parents, family, friends and all of us here who come to love these innocent victims. Rest in peace, beautiful, beautiful Kenzie. You didn't deserve any of this. You deserved to have many, many more years to enjoy your life. Brokenly sad for her and her family. Their lives and happiness are forever changed. They will never be complete again.

Lots of NG deploy. AA really just enlisted in the National Guard, went to a couple of weekend drills as an orientation, and then flunked out before ever going to basic training.

Most people in the Reserves and Guard go through the same process ...they just dont flunk out before basic.

<modsnipped>

I, honestly, wouldn't even consider AA's "service" to be of any merit since he did flunk out and didn't go through basic. But that's me.

Nah
Trying to influence the potential jury pool. Same as defense lawyer in New Canaan missing mom of 5 case.

Nah ...just promoting his defense practice. Hire me ...they cant convict you without a witness. That DNA and digital stuff wont convince anyone. He's not trying to get AA who has a public defender just trying to get attention generally.

The 17th and 18th. MOO
So it does appear that she was killed that same morning she was picked up. I think that is safe to assume.

O

I stand corrected. How then did msm find about the case if it was just her first report that was recorded? I would think that there had to be something after that first and only? One contact with police. As I remember there was some discussion as to the potential connection to a financial institution that both were thought to have worked at. All from one initial report?
Can’t reconcile all extra info if just one report from victim.

Someone who was digging into the Lueck case must have somehow found his name in the police report. Some media outlets likely submitted information requests for the report. My guess is that she told the police on initial contact that she worked with him. And that information as well as any supposed quotes are from that report.

Yes. He also went and purchased the gas can about 9 a.m. on the morning of the 17th. MOO

The pictures he had posted on social media were all pretty old. While going through his various profiles when they were still active, I don’t remember seeing any that were taken in the last two or three years. IMO he was kind of “cute” in his younger years. I think the modeling pics were a bit creepy, but can see that people might find them attractive. He is just ugly in his mugshot, a dramatic decline in his physical appearance reflecting his decent into pure evil. Alcohol and/or drug abuse can cause such a dramatic decline in his health and appearance.
Old pictures on social media.
I'm shocked. Who would have
thought.

I think the Logan police just checked their database since he lived there and then decided to disclose it. From my recollection, there wasnt a request and not sure it would be a public record anyway.

Yes, and he bought the gas can at 9:00 am on the 17th, just six hours after he picked her up.

Former prosecutor says Mackenzie Lueck murder case is ‘lacking an eyewitness’
[...]

The questions, according to former prosecutor and current defense attorney Kent Morgan, are many.

“Is this truly all they have?” said Morgan.

He says cell phone evidence is not witness testimony, which could make the case harder to prove.

“All of this evidence is lacking an eyewitness as to what happened. All of this evidence requires you to draw inferences from the forensic evidence,” said Morgan.

“What we have is geek evidence — that shows where phones are. What we have is post-death evidence that shows where the deceased was and what happened to the deceased. What we’re missing is who did it. And what was the motive for it?” said Morgan.

[...]
<modsnip: Do not use derogatory names for anyone, including officers of the court> He says this is all they have? Is he freaking joking? Do serial killers usually have an eye witness? Does he know how many victims are found decomposing in shallow graves did they have eye witness. Oh please This is making me so mad.

But the driver couldn't describe the car nor the driver, correct?

This is why they are called defense attorneys.

quite.

you see he is now a DEFENSE attorney. as such he is examining the case from that angle. what he is doing is giving the reader a window into the minds of the defense team. does this mean they won't convict? of course not.

@DD8 I don’t feel confident that it’s the explanation, but it feels very plausible to me. She thinks she’s reached her destination, she’s safe, no need to be bothered by her phone.:mad::mad: And the timeframe is very short—less than a minute.

(I know that lots of people say that no one ever ever turns off their phone, but I don’t believe it.)

An afterthought. Do we have any reason to believe that AA knows people can be tracked by their phones? He certainly doesn’t turn his own phone off when he goes home from the park. He leaves his phone on when he takes her body to bury in Logan Canyon. He does burn her phone in his back yard—but that might just have been a by-product of burning her purse.

Thank you PommyMommy. Thank you, too, for always staying on top of things and keeping us updated. I would be lost without you.
