Keep in mind the Lyft driver did not give an interview to anyone but police.
We have no clue what he really said to them, and what he saw. We only know what police told us about it. We won't find out until trial no doubt, because to my knowledge the Lyft driver has not gone public at all.

I think this is really important. I would like to know more about the specifics of what the driver saw, and whether the driver had any basis for what's been said about how he perceived her reception of AA. Some people are much better at reading emotions than others. I think we are putting too much stock in him saying she seemed relaxed.
And we don't know what she may have said to the driver about who she was meeting or what her plans were. No one has ever asked. There might be something he knows. Or she. Imo

I think the Lyft driver knows a lot more than LE has revealed.

  • #284
All LE has said is that the Lyft driver said she did not appear to be in any distress. That's all we know. I think the media has gotten creative with characterizations of "happy to see him", "relaxed", "comfortable", etc.

Assuming AA didn't use WhatsApp or something encrypted of course. I presume he would have deleted / destroyed any records there and they are effectively inaccessible.
Deleted messages are completely accessible. I’m sure the FBI has even more resources to do this, but for anyone else even you and I all that’s needed is the Apple ID and password—which are likely obtainable with the warrants they have requested. For any parents out there interested in this technology, look up a company called teensafe. Reading kids' deleted texts: There's an app for that. Should you use it?

Yes. He also went and purchased the gas can about 9 a.m. on the morning of the 17th. MOO
I wonder if this is a clue that it was not premeditated?

Thank you all for your support and messages these last few weeks. I have some catching up to do on here...

EDIT: Has been addressed in further comments. Thank you!
Not sure if this has been posted/discussed (redirection would be appreciated) but interested to hear opinions or thoughts in regards to probability for this.

They may have. I'm glad somebody discovered it. MOO

I'm still waiting for them to go back with a search warrant and do ground-penetrating radar for under those bricks that are new in the last year in his backyard. I do hope that law enforcement is looking into that or somebody has notified them of the pavers being new in the past year.

Text messages - yes. Very easy. Encrypted WhatsApp, Signal or similar messages? No.

Yes, this article is dated 7/3/19 and was discussed pretty extensively here in previous threads when it was first released.

The first page of each thread has links to the previous threads and pertinent information about the case.

Very sorry about your friend. :(

I can't remember where we discussed this, but we never saw any actual proof she had been hired as an attorney. Seemed to be more of a spokesperson/family friend engaged by his mother. Also, moving the trial out of state is pretty far-fetched. We thought she seemed to be grasping at straws.

Edited to add: She's an immigration/human rights attorney who is licensed in New York. She'd be useless in a criminal case in Utah. That's just simply not her qualifications/specialty, though she ignored that herself.

But the driver couldn't describe the car nor the driver, correct?
I recall the Lyft driver gave a basic description of the car, but never saw the driver.

I'm one of the few that does not think it was premeditated. I think it was rough sex gone wrong.

I buy zip ties by the 500 bag. they are a must have for me like Ziploc bags and duct tape. I keep my potting soil closed tight with zip ties and just get a new one when I cut the old one off.

I have some sitting 15in from me to tie up my plants on their stakes.

That's a great idea. But as you said, it is a common thing to have. But ones that are 18 in long, they are hot hard to find. You would probably need that long to do a quick abduction, and we saw that in the Sierra joughin case.

Bringing my post over from the other thread bc I think it's important.

HOLD UP. Got to point something out. I don't think they met for sex guys. One thing to remember is that they got this asshat on an aggravating kidnapping charge before they even found her body. There must be something in the text messages that indicates she didn't go with him willingly or maybe even something that indicates she thought she was meeting him for a different reason, maybe even possibly threatened. I was looking up what Aggravating Kidnapping means and this came up on Google:

I can't help but wonder if he was stalking her online and maybe feared her into meeting up with him. Even @yellowmoose said back when this all started she couldn't see Kenzie meeting him willingly. Something must have made her go there for them to get him on that kidnapping charge.
And honestly...whether she met with him willingly, not willingly, by mistake or any other way...keep this in mind: After a lengthy search, detectives found a charred human body. Her arms were bound behind her back with rope. She suffered blunt force trauma to the skull "which could have been fatal," Gill said.
He is a monstrous, murdering piece of s**t in my mind. jmo

In the presser, in the media, and on this thread, we have discussed that in this state it does not matter if it was premeditated. It all has to do with intent. So premeditation is a non-issue as to if this is a clue. In my opinion.

That will probably be his defense, whether it's true or not. Imo

Zip ties of the same size can be strung together to make a longer one. I'm not saying that's what happened in this case, just that it can be done and we don't know any more details.

I don't think it will matter. It's whether or not he intended to kill her that is important. Imo
