Anyone wanna check 1:05 in the video? It appears the driver steps on something and pulls up a shiney metal object?

I haven't watched this yet and don't know if it shows anything... It was posted about an hour ago.

NEW LUECK EVIDENCE: Divers just uncovered more evidence in the murder of Mackenzie Lueck, one month after her disappearance.

I saw that too. He brings up a shiny black object but then doesn't appear to have it when his hand comes up again. At first, when he put his hand back under the water, I wondered if he was hiding what he found from the helicopters, but when it disappeared from his hand, I just assumed it must have been nothing.

I believe it was the Smith's on 600 North and about 1100 West, so a block from his house. Convenience. This intersection 700 N and Redwood is just a couple of blocks further west. And the Jordan River Parkway is a block or two further west than that. So this new evidence is probably a mile or so from his residence.

So I was looking at the map wrong. The park isn't west of the intersection at 700 N/Redwood. It's about one block east, putting it even closer to AA's home. Less than one mile away, in fact.

I thought it looked like he had a small bag in the other hand and maybe transferred the item from hand to bag underwater so heli could not see?

I am going to rewatch again! The item did look like a significant thing. At first, I almost thought it was a gun. I would think they would collect anything just in case to sort through later. You could be right about transferring to a bag underwater.

This is crazy. I hope they find ALL the things so that there is zero room for doubt.

This video shows the judge and also the PD speaking. You can't hear what he says but I'm pointing it out because there was an earlier report that neither AA or his lawyer spoke. That's incorrect on both counts.

Does that look like a shovel or something laid out on the tarp to the right (viewer's right) of the triangular-shaped reddish item?

MacKenzie and Savannah two recent absolutely heinous deviant murders that leave me sick to my stomach.

Both MacKensie and Savannah’s perpetrators have been arrested and hopefully more charges are forthcoming. As you said ilovechili,”It does not bring them back, nothing will but getting some news with regard to justice for the victims is good, yet also so very bittersweet.”

MOO

Yes, I was just catching up on updates for Savannah. Still not totally caught up on either case but close. That one looks like no accident either...

I cannot even begin to imagine being in either family's shoes--they already have the loss, then had to wait for the bodies to be found, they have to absorb what happened and then more news continues to come and likely devastate all over again... Without even considering how long it may take for trial...

JUSTICE though will come from these developments though one hopes and the twisted perps will never be free again...

Jmo.

I think that there’s no more room for nails in his coffin.

Which is why I want more nails in his coffin.

A case can never be too strong.

Here’s a screenshot from the video.
Yeeeeaaah... so there are definitely items to the left of the red fabric that look to me to be the suitcase possibly. I'm going to see if I can sharpen that image up a little.

MOO

I’m not too concerned by the items on top of that tarp. I imagine that these dive teams have a lot of equipment, to include items that they transport in cases.

Just because we may be seeing something, doesn’t mean that it is evidence.

He did have a blue bag to put things in, I believe that's common for underwater gathering.

Going to be interesting to see what his defense tries to pretend happened. Also interesting to see who ends up as his lawyer. (Already fascinating to see how fast Ms Gustin bailed—he obviously wasn’t going to add to her distinguished resume of acquittals.)

The jordan river parkway is just a trail along the river. At 700 N, the trail is literally a few feet from the river. I walk my dog on this trail every morning.
