LE has stated that he is not a suspect, I think. Can anyone verify that?

Salt Lake City police have talked with the driver, who they said was cooperative. They said the driver is not under investigation.

My theory is she went to the park to meet up with this person voluntarily but something went south and what is going on now is not something she wants to be a part of. As I've mentioned before, this is not typical Kenzie behavior. She has too much going for her right now to throw it all away.

However, in the instance that she did decide to up and leave (which I do NOT believe happened) she is intelligent. So I can assume she would be smart about her decisions and plans prior to leaving. But again, I do not think this happened. I know Kenzie. This is not her typical behavior to not answer her phone, not talk to friends and family, not at least let people know she's safe.
I don't think she would cause additional pain for her family especially after the pain of losing her grandmother and the funeral. You're a good friend and candid but protective.

Unless there is video confirmation of him picking up someone else 5 minutes later. Clothes & hair normal. Interviewed next rider, etc.

That is what the driver did according to the statement Lyft gave.

Why did it take her an hour to leave the airport? Did she check luggage?

That, or she was waiting to leave at a time that would allow her to arrive at the park at the same time as the mystery car. If she had roommates, maybe she didn't want to go home and back out again...as opposed to just waiting at the airport.

Yes I’m on thread 1 page 22 and will resume shortly trying to keep it chronological so it’s not confusing to new viewers - I know you are always working @PommyMommy at keeping us up to date !

One thing I've noticed is that LE doesn't share so much anymore.

I know it is strategic, but this does tend to drive the searching public a little crazy.

When people have no information, they fill in the gaps themselves. Often their theory will reflect their own lives, not the victim's.

People tend to grasp any tidbit of information, from social media or shared by a family member, and simply analyze it to death--- not knowing if it is even relevant.

Example: Last summer's obsession with Mollie Tibbetts' Fitbit , assuming this would find Mollie, which it did not.

Some people are making some big inferences that just because ML has interest in or has been in SD/SB relationships that she is trading sex for something. This is not always the case in SD/SB relationships and I kind of don't appreciate the insinuation. She is not a sex worker. We don't have any evidence to support that. Even if she did participate in SD/SB relationships.

Let me know when you need a break and where you left off. ;) I'm glad to help but I also know it's important to keep it in order and hard to do if two people are posting at the same time.

But the driver wouldn't know there were no cameras. I'm thinking the driver is in the clear. jmo

I agree! The driver was given the address of the park and entered it into the system when Kenzie requested the ride. It took the driver 10 mins to get to the park and I doubt he had time for foul play. The driver continued with other driving fares after he dropped off Kenzie as confirmed by his employer. Kenzie, in my opinion, must have been looking forward to the meet with the unknown individual - she most probably was drained from the funeral and the flight but still agreed to the meet.

Imo - sad as it is, I believe she is being held against her will or just is not with us anymore. :( Justification - no family or friend contact. No sm posts etc and she has not used her bank card, missing a midterm exam and wedding, and her phone is turned off or the battery needs recharging. The aforementioned are not typical occurrences or actions for a college student her age.

It hasn't been confirmed she checked luggage but IMO, she grabbed her bags, went to the bathroom to freshen up and change, and called for a LYFT to meet our mystery person. 45 minutes sounds reasonable to me.

1:35 a.m. ML's flight landed in SLC
2:01 a.m. ML texted her mother
2:42 a.m. Lyft taken from airport
2:59 a.m. Lyft arrived at Hatch Park

Wonder what the possibilities are of sex trafficking?

...lyft driver involved ? possible ? I also don't understand why they don't have a description of the car that picked her up.

It seems to be a neighborhood with tennis courts near a Park of some kind ????....moo
I hate to say this (trying to catch up, sorry if I am repeating others!), but I think they're looking for Kenzie's body.

They're in a park for a reason, and I don't believe it's because she is alive there and camping.

Oh Kenzie hope you are alive and well, for your family and friends sake.

Someone just getting off of work?
I'm thinking back to my cocktail waitress years. I was in college and mostly went home after the bar closed as I was also a serious student. But there were after-parties all the time. I can totally picture a manager of a club being awake and very eager for a 3am meeting. The managers at my place were all married but they weren't always going home to their wives when the bar closed. That time of night for a date would not be out of character for a person with that job, imo. It also wouldn't be out of character for the guy to arrange a date that is convenient for him (rather than go to the airport to fetch her, in other words).

To me, this fits. Not conclusive, of course, I know that. I'm just making a list of possibilities and adding this to it.

One of her Johns? She is not a prostitute!

I didn't even see this before. ML is NOT a prostitute. People who have not read the whole forum will see this information and this is how misinformation gets taken out of context and begins to spread. Can we get mods input on this please?

well, if she reached out to him when she landed (and maybe they had been texting/messaging all weekend?) that would give him plenty of time to wake up and 'get ready'. KWIM?

Where there's a will there's a way!

And I guess no job in the morning?

Yes, she met an unknown person at Hatch Park and we have a more detailed timeline:

1:35 a.m. ML's flight landed in SLC
2:01 a.m. ML texted her mother
2:42 a.m. Lyft taken from airport
2:59 a.m. Lyft arrived at Hatch Park

Also, you can watch the press conference here:

The problem I see is the 41 minutes she waited before taking a lyft. Did it take that long for the driver to arrive, or was she waiting for a ride and then changed the plan to meet a friend at a park?

My impression is that this could be a sophisticated predator scenario where dating apps are used to deliver the victim to the predator, and what better time and place than a park near a freeway in the middle of the night.

Agreed. I just can't wrap my head around her being dropped off in that creepy area, at that time in the morning. What would the point of going to that specific park, at that hour, unless she was meeting someone she knew.

I can't imagine anyone going there, to meet someone you don't know.

Was this planned? Who ever she met...maybe they met before at his house, or hotel...or where ever, and there would be a paper trail.

There is something very wrong about this situation.

Again, this is literally my profession. I have a PhD in criminology- I am an expert witness on these topics.

So Lyft driver could lie about seeing them since no cameras. Hmmm
https://nypost.com/2019/06/24/cops-...missing-utah-college-student-mackenzie-lueck/

Police in Salt Lake City said Monday that the Lyft driver who had driven Utah college student Mackenzie Lueck on the night she disappeared is not being treated as a suspect in the case.

Assistant Chief Tim Doubt said at a press conference that the cops “do not have reason to doubt the Lyft driver’s story” about dropping Lueck off in a park on the northern side of the city in the early hours of June 17.

Once the Lyft driver dropped her off, Lueck got into another person’s vehicle and has not been located since, cops said.
