It has not. My husband was there on business a few weeks ago and surprised he couldn't get a beer in a steakhouse after a certain hour...like 9pm?!
Beer is served until midnight; 1:30am if under 3.2%

Not specifically 2 people...the driver did not indicate that...I’m not sure exactly, Bestill. But 4 posters now have mentioned a “Heather Elvis” type vibe and I can see it now that it has been mentioned...

I’m thinking more along the lines of a “lure”—-her outfit and appearance just doesn’t scream late night rendezvous. I don’t know, but I’m thinking more about this. It actually goes along with an initial possible theory I had which reminds me of Kelsie Schelling. She was meeting up with her boyfriend to show him her ultrasound photo.

Also, we do know HE’s peeps stopped at Walmart to buy a pregnancy test.

—FTR there is absolutely no proof she was pregnant, I am simply throwing this out there as a possible theory, moo, jmo, especially since Heather’s name keeps coming up. She was “lured out”, as you well know.
I agree with the lured and I also think the meet up person is hiding now for a variety of reasons. I want the phone records to be helpful, but I have my doubts that they will be.

I want to point out that I have seen her wear that ring on her right hand and the bracelet on her left in several photos. It would be nice to get further details and images on that to put it out there...check pawn shops etc MOO

I had also asked about a necklace in a photo of her in the black dress, a heart pendant perhaps. I’m not sure if that would hold any financial value, but I did want to point it out as far as potentially identifiable items, IF she was wearing that necklace.

I found this from UDot the interchange was closed on June 15 and 16. So it isn't clear if it were open. I guess that would depend on when on the 17th it was opened again.

I'm guessing if it was closed before, and was still closed this last Sunday when I drove that way, it was more than likely closed then because they had the entire road closed forcing traffic to continue straight and merge onto I-15 so the Lyft driver would have had to pass North Salt Lake, go up to 2600 South exit in Woods Cross and go up to highway 89 and back track back to North Salt lake to Center Street and down to Hatch Park that way.

Wasn't her lyft ride fairly long? Like over 20 minutes? If she was meeting up with someone like a SD she may have offered to meet them at the park so that he wouldn't have to drive all the way to the airport to see her.

MOO/Speculation
It was only a ten minute drive to the park. Imo

Elizabeth Sagaldo The remains of Elizabeth Salgado, 26 when she vanished, were identified Thursday after being found last week in Hobble Creek Canyon, Utah

Kayelyn Louder 30-year-old social worker

MOO

(That is soooo weird. I was juuuust thinking about Kayelyn just the other day when we were talking about suicides here, LeeAnn B, etc. I’ve always thought Kayelyn’s case was fishy, ftr.)

Or maybe the person just didn't want to get out of the car and risk being identified.
My thought is this is the type of person in control, with the power. You wanted to be with me, you paid to be driven to me (this person could have picked her up at the airport but didn't), you will do whatever it takes to come to me. Lift your bags, open your own door, you are beneath me and I am of utmost importance to you.

Law enforcement said that she didn’t communicate with anyone at the airport.

They’d know, because all of it would have been caught on surveillance.

She took a Lyft to a destination of her choosing, apparently to meet someone.

I can’t envision a scenario where that all fits together with the known facts here.
I thought they meant she didn’t talk to anyone in the airport. That doesn’t mean she didn’t use her phone to communicate with someone.

Someone made a comment about being worried she'll be found in her luggage and I remembered a few years ago, the police found a man in his luggage out by the salt palace near the great salt lake. NSL is not too far from the great salt lake. I really hope she doesn’t have the same fate as the other man found in his own luggage near there. It wouldn’t be a bad place to check out.

Not necessarily. I live here and despise the airport. It’s under construction and a pain in the butt to navigate right now, especially at night. I even had my own mother take a uber to the nearest park n ride station and met her there; picked her up from there.
Thank you for this; it's great to have a local perspective, and it makes sense that she might have been saving her friend from the hassle of driving through a construction zone.

Here is another reason why I am having trouble believing the story about going to the park to meet someone.

If she had intended on meeting someone else instead of going directly home first then why didnt she just have the person pick her up at the airport instead of telling the person to meet her at the park where she had to pay a Lyft driver to get to the park.

She had to call this other person to arrange to meet so its easier to tell the person to just come up to the airport and she could have waited outside the terminal for a pickup there.

The whole "park story" is bothering me right now.
Probably because at the airport the unknown person/car/license plate could be caught on camera

I agree. I believe it was closed, as I was there this past Sunday a few days ago. It looked like it had been closed for a while as I know it's been several months that construction has been going on in that particular area.

Amen to that!

Lyft and Uber are very common here. The airport is a mess with parking changes, construction and closed ramps. Our family is within a 15 minute drive but we have used Uber frequently over the last year or two due to construction. So, I’m not surprised that she didn’t ask a friend to pick her up.

Now that they have her cell phone records, I bet we have a suspect within 24 hours. It will be interesting to see if it’s someone her age or older.

Humor me. I'm trying to think out of box.....

Suppose Kenzie attracted an admirer, who she met in LA this weekend. Perhaps at Gerry's funeral. Perhaps in a bar or something afterward. Brief conversation. Gave them her phone number, just to get them off her back.....FIgures she will never see them again. They casually ask when she is going back to Salt Lake. She tells them.
Then....to her surprise....she sees him Sunday night, as she arrives in the SLC airport.
She would be surprised and more than a little nervous (notice the photo with her hand on chest) But perhaps he did not approach her at all. He does not wish to be seen talking to her, of course....
So they are texting.

They make arrangements, over the phone, to meet somewhere. Perhaps near the hotel he has booked.... in a park.
This could all happen, and airport CCTV wouldn't have any record of it.
It was all on phone.

Especially at 2-3 am. Mom, Dad and the whole family would have to ride share. :p

I thought they meant she didn’t talk to anyone in the airport. That doesn’t mean she didn’t use her phone to communicate with someone.
I wasn’t referencing phone contact in that post, I was just talking about human interaction.

A reporter asked a question about if she used her phone, and if I recall correctly, the answer was “I don’t know.”

In this photo (it is publicly available so I think I'm allowed to share it on here?) she is wearing a heart necklace, which appears to be a Tiffany's necklace (but could easily be a knockoff) and they usually say "RETURN TO TIFFANY & CO"
View attachment 190615

Is that the same necklace you're talking about?

Same necklace!!!

So does she wear this all the time?

I’ll pull the photo I was referencing, it wasn’t that one. Standby

It seems she wears other necklaces too in other photos.
Noting to see her necklace in the airport photos.
