I respectfully disagree, @MassGuy .
Look at what was different about Kenzie's weekend from her typical weekend. One main thing was different:
Grandmother's funeral/travelled to LA.
We start there.
Someone she met in Los Angeles that weekend. Never met before.
He could be from LA or he could be a foreign traveller but they met either on plane or in LA.
Kenzie gives him her number. Figures she will never see the guy again. A brief encounter.
He asks casually, When do you return to SLC? She tells him....
He shows up at airport Sunday night.
And then she takes a Lyft to meet this guy at a park at 3am?

You think this is more likely than her returning from her flight, and meeting up with someone she knows on some level?

It would make sense it was a female she met at park if she got her own bags.
Why is everyone so hung up on the dang bags? I'm a year older than Mackenzie and I have put my own bags in the car when having a friend who is male pick me up from traveling. Who cares how big the bag was; maybe it wasn't that heavy. This is such a weird detail for people to get hung up on as if a girl in her 20s would/should never have to lift her own bag into a car. Also, based on the fact that she's now missing with whoever picked her up, I feel like it's fair to assume that they probably weren't the helpful type that would jump out of the car upon seeing her luggage.

I get that sometimes that small details hold the biggest clues, but this one really bugs me.

Are you 23, though? She opted to go to the park for a reason, JS

Oh! Good point. At that age I would party most of the night and start work the next day on two hours sleep.

Ugh.

@yellowmoose
You said before but I forgot.
You don't have to reply at all.
How often did you see ML and were you close friends?
Thank you and no pressure.

Sorry, I didn't mean at a bar, i know bars aren't open until 3am in SLC haha

I meant something like what you suggested--she didn't have any booze at home, she met up with someone else who did.
LOL, it's the opposite of Las Vegas.

Have all roommates and sorority sisters been accounted for that Monday morning?
We haven’t heard anything about her roommates or sorority sisters being interviewed by LE. Nothing has been said about them being accounted for. A couple of her sorority sisters have been leading the media push, handing out flyers and doing media interviews.

Maybe the person she was meeting is from LE. Isn't there a station nearby? That would explain the park. He wouldn't want his co workers to see her get out of a car so he meets her at the park nearby. Maybe it was a detective whose absence wouldn't be questioned or could leave at any time.
Maybe he was driving an undercover car or a nondescript sedan.

As far as what may have happened after that...I don't have any thoughts.

If her flight was late getting in perhaps the driver in the park did go to airport to pick her up but when he found out the flight was delayed instead of sitting at airport to wait drove to this park to wait if its only 10 min away, possibly fell asleep and ML called to let this person know she had landed, and maybe she said she would just get Lyft to drive her to where this person was at the park. I know this one is out there, but racking my mind here.
This is a REALLY good theory!!! Maybe he/she decided to wait at the park, or maybe when the flight was delayed, ML said “I have no idea when I’ll be landing, I’ll just get a lyft to you later.” Maybe when she got off the plane, she contacted him/her and they said “Just meet me at the park and I’ll pick you up there.” That’s a really good theory, Waffleyes! That would explain the randomness of the park!

Why not? She's an open minded woman. That's very clear from her social media entries and sites she enjoys

LE is trying to get her phone records she met someone at the park after the Lyft driver dropped her off - no description of vehicle or who she met - not even gender - we know nothing except she was at the airport and rode to the park via Lyft lots of speculation in between IMO

I'm still open to this person she met at the park being a female.
It's very unlikely, but females can be very vengeful or jealous.
Heck, I just think this is someone she knows.
Not casting aspersions on anyone at all.
Also it could be someone like a professor or an aide.
When the cell phone records come in, I think LE will get their break.

Eta I'm tired of discussing the sb sd thing.
ML did not appear dressed for anything like that and I've never trusted gossiping rumor-mills very much in these cases
What happens if they both have burner phones can LE still get information?

Plenty of men these days don’t have traditional manners that I, and many people, grew up with. Many men no longer hold doors, step aside to avoid knocking into a woman, etc. etc. etc. It’s gotten so common that while I still notice it and it bothers/saddens me, I just accept it as a cultural shift. SO - I can definitely picture a man sitting at the wheel, merely popping the trunk to let ML put her luggage in there herself... if whomever she met didn’t get out to help her, no conclusions about gender can be drawn...

Thinking about the post regarding Kenzie wanting to be with someone close for comfort.

Though highly unlikely but not out of the realm of possibilities that she met a female friend or even a girlfriend, with the intention of staying overnight and talking, maybe stopping at an all night coffee place or whatever, being car jacked by some perp and taken away. The friend lives alone and is not yet reported as missing.

I know, improbable. Thinking off the top of my head.

If the phone doesn’t break this open, I’m confident that her social media and dating apps will.

There may not be a call or text record, but that might not even matter.
As usual, I agree.

I think this guy could work in just about any profession.

Whoever he is, I think they know each other.

The question is why he continues to remain silent and not come forward.

He either has a lot to lose legally, or a lot to lose in his personal life.

I hope it’s the latter.

We are all here speculating. No one here has the answers. It’s called crowd sourcing. No one is hung up on anything. No one knows what happened to her.

What photo with her hand on her chest?
There are so many possibilities of what could have happened to her. I just hope whatever happened to her she’s safe.
