Neighbors are asking if this has to do with missing U of U student MacKenzie Lueck. The house under investigation is near where she was last seen. SLC PD won't confirm if it's related. Waiting for more info from them @fox13

So this is near the park then?

Fox 13 News is now saying the FBI are involved in the search of the house in question. It is evidently near where ML was last seen.

The fire is really concerning.

Now that does NOT look like a home a SD would live in.
No, but what if we have a married guy with another home who bought this place for investment. Uses the AirBnB as a cover and uses the upstairs for trysts.

BREAKING: @slcpd confirm they are serving a search warrant in SLC. Large police response- no confirmation on whether this is connected to #MacKenzieLueck case.

No, but the person taken into custody rents out his basement on Airbnb. I could see a young woman distraught over losing her grandmother not want to go home to roommates she may not like, just to have some space, especially on a tight budget. Just a thought.
MOO.
Interesting that your mind went there...my first thought was someone staying in the AirBNB May have been who she met up with, rather than her going to it by herself. Surely that would have shown up on her financial records immediately, if she had done that?

Ugh. Fix 13 quoting neighbors saying homeowner started a fire in the back yard a week ago. Large enough for them to complain to him about it. Today investigators combed through rubble
That doesn't sound good at all.

Is this the same air bnb that was being talked about with the blood on the comforter by that Angela woman?
No it's not the same area at all.

The obvious answer - the client did not want to be caught on camera.

There is no evidence at all that she was meeting a SD.

I don't like the sound of that.

Perhaps burning of any evidence ie luggage, clothing? I know we are all going on assumptions that this is related but it really does feel like something. I am just praying her family gets answers.

If this is a wealthy person, this would be a good area of town to buy houses to flip/rent out. My boyfriend's parents are extremely wealthy and have quite a few houses in the poorer areas of SLC they're planning on flipping. It's pretty common here in SLC.
flipping houses is a VERY good ruse/business. flipping is super common in Denver-metro (don't move here if you want to buy - save yourself!!!! continue EAST - save me a spot!). but I digress.

How many cases are there of SD killing their SB? I haven’t heard any. What I have heard plenty of is conventional boyfriends and husbands and ex’s killing the women they claim to love.

We may be saying the same thing.

Do we know the address of the house?

  • #318
No, we don’t know how they came to make contact with this person, or if this person is the one she went to meet.

All we know is that she texted him/her at the airport.

@MassGuy, what’s up in a nutshell! Just getting in!! Tia

(I’m here! What’s up? I’m still recovering from that last trip.
Going back to read!)
Take a deep breath first before you read.
Don't know much yet, but there is a lot of LE activity at a home.

I can't help but wonder what the Lyft driver is feeling like from all of this. Even though he was just doing his job, I can guarantee he is doing the "would have, should have, could have" game in his mind.
