Yeah. So the question is, where was this “destination?”
Supposedly waiting on warrants to talk to the driver still... and get detailed info.

Doesn’t she have roommates?

Doesn’t she have roommates? Something seems totally off.

I read somewhere in Facebook comments that it was mentioned that she does have roommates and I believe they said she has 2.

And do we have confirmation that she for sure has roommates? Because if so, technically that means her cat was not left alone. Not that a voluntary disappearance is at the top of my list right now, but just saying.

The fact her phone is off, there is no SM activity—I haven’t looked at her profiles yet but judging from the links posted above it seems she was active on SM? When exactly was her last post?

I think it’s quiet atm because LE is in the process of conducting their investigation. Maybe they have some strong leads and avenues they are pursuing and don’t think they need the public’s help as of yet.

The fact that her cat whom she apparently adored was left uncared for is obviously extremely worrisome.

FWIW, I did see comments from a friend of ML's on SM that she lives with 2 roommates...so IF ML went voluntarily missing, she may have figured the roommates would look after her cat in her absence.

I'm not saying that ML being voluntarily missing is the the most probable scenario here given the circumstances surrounding her disappearance. I don't think that's the likeliest explanation, but I'm trying to keep the best case scenario on the table here.

LE's silence is baffling. Or telling, depending on how you look at it.

Also, if it's true that her parents aren't coming out to SLC right away, that's...interesting.

JMO.

BBM:

Her last post to her FB was on June 13th. It was information re: her grandmother's funeral arrangements.

She posts on Instagram pretty regularly. Her last post was June 13th about her grandma. I'm pretty sure she doesn't have a Twitter - if she does I don't follow her and I didn't see any profiles that would look like hers.

Thank you and welcome to WS yellowmoose and @Iamgroot. Sorry it is under these circumstances. Hopefully Kenzie will be found safe.

I grew up with this girl in California and I now live in Utah! What a tragic story this is. I’m hoping for the best, but it does seem grim

Last posts on Instagram and Facebook were June 13, IIRC.

where did the Lyft drop her off?
the answer lies with the Lyft driver IMO

“23-year-old Mackenzie Lueck hasn't been heard from since Monday when she texted her parents to let them know she arrived at the Salt Lake City Airport at about 1 a.m. after flying from Los Angeles.

That was her last communication. She was reported missing Thursday around 4 p.m.”

Do we know who reported her missing? Family? Roommates?

The answer lies with Lyft records, and not just the driver.

Those Rideshare apps track everything, so they wouldn’t have to rely on a driver’s memory, as they would a taxi driver.

From the article:

[...]

Lyft sent the following statement to Fox 13:

"We recognize how scary this must be for those who know and love Ms. Lueck. The safety of our community is fundamental to Lyft and we are actively assisting law enforcement with their investigation."

Lyft stated that Lueck's route "contained no irregularities and ended at the destination entered by the rider," and the driver continued to give rides immediately after her ride ended.

Police are now investigating.

"There's a lot our detectives are looking into, and they do this with every case — they look at what they can and go from there," said Det. Michael Ruff with Salt Lake City Police. "They are trying to retrace her steps. They are are trying to talk to people they can."

Police are not yet saying Mackenzie is endangered.

If she had roommates, then they can confirm if she actually she made it inside the house or not.

Seems the Lyft driver is obviously clear, moo.

I wonder if her final destination was home or to perhaps a romantic partner’s home?

Sounds like LE is on it. Good.

Her dad filed the missing persons report.

Her dad filed the missing persons report.

Welcome momofthreecousin.

So roommates didn’t file the report. I wonder if they contacted her family and then her dad decided to file the MP or if he filed this on his own due to no contact.

A lot of questions right now obviously.

RSBM:

I'm not sure anybody's in the clear yet. We haven't heard that from LE.

Like you, I'm wondering if her Lyft destination was a drop-off somewhere to meet up with a date.

That's a very real possibility in my mind.

When I return from a trip the first thing I want to do is see my pets. Moo.

There is a comment on her friend's Facebook page that said her roommates had said that she never made it to the house. It does seem like the Lyft driver might not be involved at this point.

That makes sense.

It does seem like the driver is completely innocent, as Lyft has said that he kept making pickups after that.

Whatever happened, appears to have happened after she was dropped off.

Wherever that was.

You’re right, GordianKnot. LE has not said anyone is officially in the clear. :)

I was just saying that it is stated that Lyft records seem to confirm that the driver continued on with her ride. All this is monitored via GPS, etc and very easy to definitively track.
