They have execution by firing squad in Utah don't they? If so, this would be an appropriate case for that.

Utah Mom Accused of Killing Husband Amid Bitter Divorce Allegedly Made a Chilling Confession to Her Lover: Police

When her lover later told her in a phone call that he was frightened by Gledhill’s confession, her response — which he recorded — was chilling: “Wow, if you think I could even hurt a fly,” she said. “Like he just, he is, he’s not a person. He wasn’t a person anymore. He wasn’t Matt.”

Meanwhile, more than 100 of Johnson’s fellow soldiers have joined the search for his remains in an area where GPS data reportedly placed Gledhill after the alleged murder. Says Thompson: “We’re all combat veterans. We’ve seen a lot. But we don’t want to leave a friend behind, so it’s on your mind all the time.”

Where are you Matthew? Where did she hide your body? I hope her parents find the strength to do the right thing and say what they know. They helped her clean up the crime scene. They likely believed her that he was abusive even though the courts found her the instigator.

I often think about this case, wondering what I would do if my daughter wanted me to help her clean up or dispose of her husband's dead body. I want to say I would have nothing to do with it.

Now that I’ve read the articles shared in the thread, I believe she could have moved his body by herself. But digging a grave, even a shallow one, is hard.

She was smart enough to get his body down the stairs, but not smart enough to not confess to her lover.

“Gledhill told Informant that Matthew had returned to the home on September 20, 2024, and started yelling at her because he knew she had been sleeping with someone else. Gledhill told Informant that on the night of September 21, 2024, she had shot Matthew in the head with Matthew’s 9mm Glock as he slept in their shared bed. Gledhill stated that she smashed Matthew’s cell phone and hid his vehicle in a neighborhood near their house. Gledhill told Informant that she loaded Matthew’s body into a rooftop storage container, slid him down the stairs by herself, and loaded him into the back of her minivan. Gledhill stated that she had taken Matthew’s body north, dug a hole, and buried him in a shallow grave.”

ETA LINK and another thought: Wife charged with missing husband's murder; court documents describe what happened to him

Per the timeline in this article, she showed “informant” a weapon the day before she allegedly shot her husband. I have to wonder if there was a fight? Had he really found out about the affair? Or did she make that up because she was ready to put her plan in place?
I am just finding this thread, so this is old, but I am just reading it to respond.

If she had filed for a protective order and a temporary one was in place until they went to court (which is standard), then I'm assuming they didn't live together during those 2-3 weeks because no contact would have been ordered until they went to court for the final hearing. It was then dismissed due to her not proving what she alleged was the abuse. So how do they ended up at the same house then on the 21st. NO WAY would I want to even be around someone that had filed a protective order on me alleging abuse. I wouldn't trust that she wasn't going to do it again or try something shady. Why didn't he change the locks and/or let her stay at the house and he stay somewhere else? If she wanted a court to believe he abused her, WHY did she go back to the house? If there was no abuse and he was wrongly accused, then why didn't he make a counter claim to the court to keep her away from him due to her false allegations?

I'm also curious if she had help. If she drove straight to her boyfriend's house after disposing of him, then wonder if the boyfriend was with her? He leaves his phone at home and then he can be in her car and not be detected by GPS or whatever.

Sorry, graphic comment :

I'm almost convinced she had help disposing him.
A man of his age and size would not be easy to get rid of !
Did she or someone dismember him.
Weigh him down with concrete blocks and dump him in water .
Used a barrel of some type of acid.
I don't know when a case made me so angry.

And her parents are whom I'd be looking at first and foremost.
Did Jennifer spin a wild tale to them about things Matthew had never done ?
No one is perfect all of the time, no one.

But JG has not provided any proof of his mistreatment, so I'm skeptical.
Imo.
