Family and friends search for missing mother
Family and friends are desperately searching for a loved one that’s been missing since Thanksgiving weekend.
Christopher Cheeney has been Meghan Joan Hunter’s friend for more than 30 years. He tells ABC4 News the last time he saw her was Saturday, November 24.
“She had just came into town from California and needed a place. We gave her our couch for a couple days while she tried to readjust things,” he said.
Hunter’s daughter says time is of the essence to find her mother.
According to Olivia Jenson, her mother, Meghan, suffers from mental illness and sent a series of texts with suicidal messages shortly before she vanished.
“She’s so boisterous and fun and even when she’s quiet, she’s still very sweet and kind to everyone she comes into contact with,” Jenson said.
Hunter was last seen in the Downtown Salt Lake City area. It’s where searchers focused their time on Saturday.
Hunter, 44, is described as 5’6” with a thin to medium build and light brown hair.
She has tattoos of hearts and the words “all growed up lady.”
