So how old was this witness when Michelle died and she was on the Nanny hiring committee? How strange that someone who doesn't want his children running his life has part of his children or significant others on the Nanny hiring committee.

She was at BYU. So maybe only 18-20?

She looks really young to me now, lol (she is an attorney)

It's fascinating to look at the dynamic of just how Marty manipulated others. From prescribing drugs as a Professional courtesy down to folks disposing of them etc. etc. There does IMO appear to be an influence over folks when M.D. is attached to your name. Not to mention the "charm" some sociopaths possess. It struck me today and it bothers me. It bothers me Marty provided Service to such a vulnerable population. Just sayin.....

What do you folks think about the wet spot and the blood on the carpet? Theories?

The obituary for Dr. MacNeill's son does not reference the father at all. I wonder where the son was living at the time of his death. So sad.

Odd, surely Michele didn't bleed so badly at her incision sites that it was enough to be seen on the floor. Seems I read that the child that found Michele said the water was red (I assume bloody?), if this is true and the bleeding was from plastic surgery incisional sites, I would wonder if she was also given a drug that blocks blood clotting, i.e., aspirin, plavix, coumadin. I don't know that those drugs would be a part of a tox screen normally.

ETA: adding that if Michele was not given/taking her blood pressure medications, her blood pressure could have caused increased bleeding at the suture sites.

Reminds me of what I was told by a retired pathologist I cared for. She said when graduating medical school the joke among the graduates was that they now had MD behind their name for "Medical Diety"!

I honestly do not know/can't explain it. Were there any lacerations to Michelle's body?

Every witness except one stated they observed Michele's incisions with some slight bleeding. I don't remember the witness but he stated he saw a gash above the eye. Given every other witness did not see this I believe it was just surgical wound with some blood appearing like a gash.

The only thing I can come up with is perhaps the blood and water came from Michele's surgical wounds. If Marty did drown her perhaps he held his hand over her face to submerge her. There may have been some slight resistance from her. I say slight given her drugged state. Pressure from forcing her under water opened her wounds. I wonder in some of the staging/clean up Marty had blood on himself/clothing. Somehow was transferred to the carpet????

IIRC, one of the medics testified that they moved Michele from the floor of the bathroom into the more spacious carpeted mastersuite. They used the ambu bag (manual resuscitator) when 3 to 4 cups of water was expelled by Michele followed by a slightly less amount of reddish foamy fluids.

That is very odd. Given that I have read that Damien supported his Father. I would assume one of the Daughters wrote the Obit so that may be why. I wish we knew more about Damien. Perhaps somebody will write a book and do some digging. It's so disturbing at how many Marty knew that died.

Yes I remember that. Now that makes sense. Sense as to why it is focused on by the prosecution. Would I be correct in assuming that it is to prove that Marty did not perform any effective CPR measures. Given that Michele expelled water/fluids when medics gave care. Here I have been stumped by the focus on the blood/wet area on the carpet. Thanks now I am in a different direction with this evidence.

I wonder if Damian's death really was a suicide.

Interesting - what makes you think that? I didn't even know the son had passed :(

Just a technicality.....he had D.O. attached to his name; not M.D.

" In January 2010 the MacNeill sisters' only brother, Damian, a 24-year-old law student, committed suicide. "My mother's death," says Alexis, "destroyed him."

His family states it was a suicide so they would know. I wonder because of all the reports I have read on how many people that MM knew that ended up dead. From what I have read about him, I would not put it past him to kill any family or friend that would get in his way of what he wanted. BIG MOO:moo:

this is an awful thought but could he have raped her on the carpet (menstral blood) took off her pants (evidence lay her in bath water =blood in water?

The "Doctor/Lawyer" told an ex-girlfriend that he was a serial killer.

I think anyone and everyone that has come into immediate contact with him and has since died should have their death investigated including having the bodies exhumed and tox screens done. LE should investigate patients at his facility where he treated.

"Serial killers"......yep, I'd believe he was heartless, psychopathic, and ruthless enough to have killed quite a few people.

IIRC, I think one of her doctors testified that she had a hysterectomy. I thought that might have been the reason they adopted four more children. I don't have a link.

Any other trial watchers remember?

does anyone know if this is normal for drowning victims? or was it internal bleeding?
