Me, too, and my husband didn't die suddenly, it was after a long illness. I think everybody reacts differently. Like you, there are certain things I remember with total clarity, and big huge gaps.

Exactly! I call it my forgotten years. I'll be damned if I know what I did for the next few years. People tell me what I did and I accept what they say but it doesn't ring true or false to me. I think I was on auto pilot and no one was at home.

Going back to the very beginning of Rachel's testimony she was shaken from the beginning so I think it will be painful for the jury to watch her deteriorate under cross. It is unlikely the jury will feel very good about the defense attorney bringing out her 2 marriages and mental instability. I think the line of questioning about her father paying to furnish her "homes" was a huge fail thanks to Rachel. She gets stronger and clearer when defending her mother.

I think it's hilarious that the defense attorney keeps trying to nail down an "approximate" date when something happened, and seems frustrated when the witness says she doesn't remember. This is the same attorney who argues about what every single word means. I wouldn't answer her either!
