IMO this judge is bending over backwards to accommodate the defense. I am hanging in there. He may be the judge but he ain't the jury.

That is the message I am starting to hear loud and clear. IMO this is a very partial impartial Judge.

This guy has not produced any evidence that Ada's testimony has been tainted. There ha been no suggestion that the witness is not competent to testify. This is all speculation on the defense's part. Is it possible that her testimony is tainted? Sure, it's possible, but is it proven? Nope. There's no reason the defense can't cross-examine and try to impeach with prior inconsistent statements -- just like every other witness.

So she hadn't lived in the home for 11 years.
So 1996?
Hmm.

Watching her she acts appropriate to me.
She reminds me of a boss I had that had verbal "tics "
When she was calm you never noticed them but when she was excited or searching for words she'd make funny throaty sounds or kinda hum.

And I am not sure I believe her diagnosis.
Especially with her dad working in the mental health field.
Are we going to hear that mental health problems were rampant in his relatives so having several suicides would be a normal thing due to something that was inhereted?
It sounds like he was "around "
several people who died suddenly.

I know 3 people who committed suicide. However I am not related to them.
Nor was I there when it happened or found their bodies either.

Sure sounds like those cases need to be revisited!!!!

Issues of witness credibility is a matter for the jury alone - it would be highly improper to exclude a witness completely from testifying based on the defense's assertion that her testimony is not reliable.
