Didn't phone records show that they also texted each other during the funeral? I'm not sure that the State actually came right out and said what time the funeral was but they did hint around at the texts occurring when the funeral was taking place. This was done when Gypsy was testifying.

Such disrespect to Michele. Beyond disrespect. For Gypsy to partake she is a warped as he. In my book. What hurts my heart is it seems these references to their actions were mocking Michele. Martin needs to go down. Gypsy needs some serious Karma :banghead:

Ugh I finally can really join in, had some puter nasties and been struggling all day.

I like the significance of the ME amending the autopsy report and adding an opinion on drug involvement. Obviously these things are not etched in stone and I think the state will be pushing that fact.

The jail house witnesses, are they going to testify to Martin admitting to them that he did kill Michele?

So, did he give her the Phenergan to keep her from throwing up the rest of the drug cocktail?

Shoot. Me. Now.

ETA: Please.

I'm getting upset with all this grilling of Alexis and even Comcast Newsmakers is beginning to look good to me.

What "story" is Mr. Not Smiling Anymore accusing Alexis of having made up?

:banghead:

You can tell the professionals who testify... they talk to the jury.

All others talk to the lawyer who's doing the questioning.

could the drugs alone caused MM's death?

could not say independently with those levels that would be a cause of death

?????

what is he saying??

The "story" as to how Alexis came about getting some of the medical records of Michele on the day she died. I believe it was something to do with her toxicology report or something like that. Alexis got the information from a Dr friend of hers. The defense lawyer claims that Alexis asked the Dr friend to lie and say that he was a doctor of Michele's in order to get the information.

That not necessarily a toxicity but an interaction or causing an arrhythmia is possible.

They are getting to the fact that Michele did not die from the drugs in her system, she died from drowning. However, the drugs in her system helped in her death.

Prosecutor in his soft manner is getting in all the perimeters and outliers of death and how the decision of the Dr. to make a determination of manner of death is made. It will be interesting to see what defense does with this witness and how they try to twist around the testimony to fit "their" ideas.

re: drowning

it could be a possibility
but could not make that diagnosis a certainty
with the information he has

is that open to reasonable debate?

it is all a matter of interpretation

OK... now for a break time...

Everytime I see the name "Jose Baez" I actually read it as "Joan Baez" and have a hard time putting that name to the context of the statement! LOL!

This man is an ME and the defense has the nerve to claim Speculation to the question presented to the ME? Of course the ME is going to have an opinion as to if the remarks made by Martin could be true or not when it comes to the death of Michele.

The ME has seen the autopsy, has studied the case, has read/heard the remarks made by Martin. This is his job, to determine the cause of death. In doing that job he has to look at everything. Including the remarks made by those that found the deceased. He then has to weigh those remarks along with the other evidence to determine the cause of death.

The defense appears to be reaching.

phenergan

I was give a similar suppository after surgery for vomiting. I wasn't taking any other medication with it because I couldn't hold it down. The medication in the suppository made me so foggy I went to the ER. I could barely hold up my head and couldn't think. It made me feel drugged and the ER doctor said it is notorious for those type of symptoms. I now have it on my list of meds to never take again!

I can't imagine mixing that med with other oral ones. He would have had to carry her to the bathtub. I doubt she could have even stood.
