If the jury is not familar with any of this case and now witnessing this they must be so utterly confused as to why the defense is doing this to this witness lol

I am hoping that the prosecution is just letting them pick, pick and needle, needle, knowing that Alexis is smart, tough, and honest, and that the jury sees through this garbage.

I want to hear about jury reactions like NOW. Rolling eyes? Yawning?

And recessed for the evening.

Why is this attorney asking about seemingly minor inconsistencies? Does this happen when there is nothing major to impeach a witness on? Or is this a strategy to make the jury forget what she said? I am not getting this. TIA

The prosecutor will straighten up the confusion this defense is creating at cross.

Some areas the defense lawyer was a little slow on with Alexis today? Is he smoking something? He was slow with all of it with Alexis today.

Poor Alexis......

Just think of everything going on in her life....

Twins
Husband
Murder trial of her mother
Caring for her sisters. Ada is only 12.
Her school/ job
Forcible Sex charges against Martin
Executor of her mothers estate

And I am sure I have missed plenty that I am not privy too. I hope she takes some needed time for herself.

May I object to Nancy Grace?

You may, but it might be overruled. Nancy would get the job done whereas the State lawyers appear to not be.

I believe he is trying to impeach her testimony primarily about the timeline.

Additionally, there are other inconsistencies in her previous testimony (as there always are) that he is digging at to make it appear she is being untruthful.

His little dig about her previous legal action against her father over the proceeds from the house is an indirect way of telling the jury that her motive is pecuniary (monetary).

We will hear all these little inconsistencies regurgitated in his final/closing remarks. I suspect he was as successful w/ the jury as he appears to be w/ those of us here on this forum.

Anyone else want to send Alexis to a spa evening so that she can be bright and fresh in the morning?

I don't think she'll need one, though - she's one calm lady. I am so impressed with her!

Two of the jurors were seen doing hand puppets with the shadows on the wall while several were getting pretty darn good at a game called 'Free Cell'.
