Just watched Sabrina's testimony again. Poor kid....

She was adopted from the Ukraine from an orphanage at the age of 10 along with her little sister who is 5 yrs younger. That adoption did not work out because the woman only wanted her little sister. She was then adopted by the MacNeills at age around 11. Approximately 2 years later, the day before her 13th birthday, her mother dies (was murdered). Then her "father" sends them off to California to the Bledsoes. Then Alexis got them from California and sought custody. Wow, that's a lot for such a young girl who is only 19.

Vanessa is an admitted addict to heroin and she has been clean since, I believe she said 2011. Maybe at the time she asked her parents to adopt her child. To be sure you may want to refer back to the 20/20 interview that her parents gave. They may have stated the reason there.

Who's parents??

Vanessa hasn't lived at home in over 10 yrs. She had a felony conviction of possession of heroin in 2011, is on probation and claims to be clean. Due to her drug addiction, the MacNeills adopted Ada. And per Vanessa, Martin wanted to kill her (duel suicide) to free her of her addiction and give her peace.

Two of the jurors were seen doing hand puppets with the shadows on the wall while several were getting pretty darn good at a game called 'Free Cell'.

LOL!!:floorlaugh:

In fact if phenergan had been present, I think it would tend to indicate Michele took the meds of her own volItion.

I repectfully disagree. If she was given ambien and/or drowned why would you think MM an MD at the time, would have a problem adding the phnergan (sp) suppository for good measure. I believe throwing out the meds and willfully lying to the ME, will result in a conviction of MM. at the very least destruction and obstruction of evidence to decieve authorities.

I found that to be sickening, the comment about no uterus and the laughing that followed. How totally disrespectful! Alexis should have reported the ME to the Medical Board.

The more I think about the little "joke" and it's meaning, I have to wonder if there was a connection between MM and the ME.

This is NOT a comment any decent ME would make to a person in grief. In fact, I have to wonder why an impartial ME would talk to the spouse of a deceased person in such a manner at all.

The whole situation has me weirded out, big time.

Good Morning! :seeya:

I wonder if we will get to see the "Tater Toe" I mean after all it should be crucial to the case right? It's the reason he couldn't take Michele out of the tub :floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

I believe she had three. They should exhume her and have a ME. who has no ties to their town.:please:

Sabrina stated in her testimony that she has never met Noelle, doesn't know what Giselle is doing right now, and she is currently living with Elle, ho was from her orphanage in the Ukraine. Perhaps the adoption with Noelle got cancelled. Although I believe she has the MacNeill last name......which she may just be using in the SM???

So....Giselle and Noelle are not the same person.

That really confused me too.

Today is my first visit here in 4 months. I feel like I should have the shakes or something after giving it up for so long.

I missed the first few days of this trial, but I did go all the way through thread #3 just now and saw most of the past two days. A few questions/comments in no particular order:
  • This trial is really interesting. The styles are opposite what we've seen in Arias and Anthony trials among others. It will be interesting to see how that works out. It makes it a little boring for TV since there are no flamboyant lawyers involved.
  • Is someone from Intellus or whatever the company Alexis mentioned going to back up her claim that Michele tracked down Gypsy? The jury should forgive some inconsistencies if they know she got big things like that correct.
  • Sabrina did a fine job - you can see Alexis's influence on her in terms of sticking to your guns. Hard to believe she was so composed at such a young age.
  • I suspect that some of the tainting that the defense will allege is in part due to the kids realizing more and more how evil their dad was, and so some things that might not have clicked originally they came to realize were important. Most of the kids naturally wouldn't have suspected dad at first, but they all now believe he did it.
  • There was a jury question for Gypsy about whether she was introduced to (I think) Rachel at the temple or at home, and she said it was MM's idea to do it at the temple because it would be more peaceful - something like that. In addition to sounding weird on the surface, is there some significance from a Mormon viewpoint about that being at the temple?
  • Several people have commented that the prosecution hasn't objected enough. Both sides have been quieter than I expected. For example, the defense let the prosecution completely lead Anna through the testimony about MM saying he could induce a heart attack undetected.
  • There are so many things that look suspicious for this monster - it will be critical for the prosecution to tie all that out - with some visual aids - in closing.
  • A conviction may be tough since the medical evidence doesn't seem to help. Proving he had a motive to kill Michele won't be a problem however. I hope the jury convicts because a) I believe he did it and b) the jurors will want to kill themselves if they acquit and then learn all the monstrous facts that were not allowed in.

From a macro ("big picture") pespective, no one else had a desire or motive to see Michelle dead except for her hubby who was on to "bigger and better" things.

It's as obvious as the potato on his toe. Or the nose on his face.

Vanessa parents. She is the daughter of MM and Michele. They adopted Ada.

I did see a pretrial ruling from a different judge that said he would give little weight to Frikke's report, due to her medical condition at the time. (She had metastatic breast cancer). He also said he found Perper's report to be the most thorough.

I will not be able to watch today because I will be in trial. Look forward to reading all the comments at the end of the day :)

Someone mentioned a good book by Scott Peck (about sociopaths which I believe explores the church connection & explains other similarities to MacNeil's behavior). I can't recall the title. If someone knows, I'd appreciate it if it could be posted here. Thank you.

LOL Sounds reasonable. Minor 4th suggested Gout too. It never seemed to limit him in any other aspect. He worked, drove, travelled, juggled a home life and an affair. A lot on his plate for such an impairment huh :floorlaugh:

When that comment was made I thought of a rotting potato. :floorlaugh:

So glad your back. Good sign ya weren't jonesing :floorlaugh: I'll try to answer best I can recall. Your comments are excellent by the way and I agree. It was actually Alexis who retrieved the info off her Dad's phone to track down Gypsy. Passed the info on to her Mom. I don't know if anyone from phone company is on the witness list. I do remember hearing/reading that Martin wanted the girls to go to Temple with him to pray for a Nanny. Voila Gypsy appears.
