Mr defense your client also lied on his medical school application.

Think that opened door takes the smile off of Spencer's face?

He should ask, Did you claim you went to school in Mexico for a year when it was a half a year like your father did? Did you claim credit for courses you never took?

  • #724
yeah......

why were you gathering info about your mom's death

because I think my dad killed her

object

OVERRULED>>>>>>>>>>YOU OPENED THE DOOR (mr. defense)

Oopsie. Guess that was a learning lesson for the defense. Don't open any doors that can lead to comments that can harm your client coming in. "I believe that my father killed my mom."

That was awesome! The defense atty acted like a (bleep) in closing, and the prosecutor used a door he opened to get in that Alexis was trying to get these records because she believed MM killed her mom.

What have I missed? What's up with the mean defense today...not getting what he wants?

You win!

That's exactly what it is. That and Alexis has come across as very credible and believable and it has harmed his client. So he tries to find any dirt on Alexis that he can and also tries to say that she has now made up a story about things.

Alexis was asked to leave the family home by her father soon after the funeral

Cross ended something like:

"There's a LOT you don't remember."

"Objection - Argumentative."

"Sustained."

What opened door???

Within about a minute of redirect there was an exchange like:

Pros: "Why did you want to get Michele's records?"

Alexis: "Because I believed that my dad had killed her."

Def: "Objection..."

Judge: "Overruled. You opened the door on cross."

What opened door???

Rachel was able to testify that she thought her father had killed her mother. And there was another point that the State just made and the defense atty objected to and the judge ruled that the defense had opened that door.

I think the State is being very successful in addressing and answering any points brought up by defense.

This is where the calm, kind, pleasant demeanor from the Prosecution really is working

Both defense lawyers appear to think this is just fun and games, sitting over at the defense table talking and laughing amongst themselves. Have they forgotten that the jury is sitting to their right and is able to watch what is going on?!?!

YEA!!! Altho I do enjoy the drama. One does not need the drama to get the point across.
