I'm just now listening to the cross exam of Perper -- I'm prepared to be annoyed, based on previous comments :D

I'm sure I'll break in with comments as this goes along. I'm already slightly annoyed at the horrible way Spencer asks questions - he is so confusing at times. And he testifies during his questions!

Please do. Confusing and rude I thought. I was so annoyed I did an errand I really didn't need to do :floorlaugh:

Perper does not like Spencer trying to put words in his mouth and trick him ..

I was so aggravated listening to the cross exam of Dr Perper .....grrrrrrr !

Why doesn't the judge stop it or is it up to the prosecution to object?

While I watched the arguments and rulings (when the Jury was dismissed) I noted Dr. Perper in the Gallery. Rubbing his face and head. Prolly trying to process lol. Not like he hasn't been in Court before. My limited knowledge of him I admire and respect him. At the very least and I get it is a Court of Law but treat your elders with some respect :banghead:

I've seen this judge interject at times even without an objection - but usually, rulings will follow objections. I'm near the beginning of this cross examination, and Spencer is only now starting to get rude - cutting Perper off and demanding that he turn to a page in a transcript.

Will we get a separate thread for input from those who actually attend the trial, like was done with the Arias trial? Thanks

Doc’s testimony under fire in MacNeill trial

Posted on: 11:46 am, November 1, 2013, by Ben Winslow, updated on: 05:36pm, November 1, 2013

FOX13 - Salt Lake City, UT

Snipped:

Trial resumes next week with four federal inmates slated to testify that Dr. MacNeill made a jailhouse confession to killing his wife. The judge refused to allow prosecutors to present evidence that Dr. MacNeill had kicked his oldest daughters out of the family home days after his wife was buried, and tried to find new homes for his younger ones; he also would not allow the state to present evidence he had committed fraud.

Prosecutors have said they may rest their case by Wednesday.

I got a chuckle when Spencer asked Dr Perper to find a page in a report. Dr Perper could not find the page. It seemed liked Spencer was trying to make it seem like the Dr was a bumbling idiot, even going as far as going up to the witness stand to find the page, but it was all Spencers fault the Dr could not find the page. Dr Perper did not have the page. I know Spencer apologized for that, but I wonder how he really felt.

LOL Perper is looking at Spencer with such disdain right now

  • #355
I'm cracking up - despite Spencer's attempts to bully Perper into giving a very narrow answer out of context, he refuses to go along with Spencer.

  • #356
That's exactly how he came across. A bully. I get when Arias was on the stand and "Juan have at er". Perper may be testifying for the Prosecution but it was untoward. Perper is not the accused. Totally different circumstances. Yet if a Professional is testifying and really is a bumbling idiot....fair game lol.

I was glad to see Dr Perper holding his own with Spencer . I really do not like Mr. Spencer !

Nope nothing yet. As I posted ^ they may be tired. It is a lot to take in. Especially when emotionally attached. Perhaps they are sorting out the whole experience.
