Found it!

Another inmate, scheduled to testify Wednesday, is expected to say that Martin MacNeill admitted to murder.

According to court documents, the man, identified only as Inmate #1, is expected to tell the jury that Martin MacNeill told him that he drugged his wife with Oxycontin and sleeping pills, then persuaded her to get into the bathtub, where he held her underwater for a little while "to help her out."

Judge back on bench

he is going to plead the 5th on the 3 pending charges/cases

judge rules

rules for defense

unless state drops immunity

state says immunity only applies to what he testifies today

court order is vacated

he is open to cross

court in recess

He will testify

Thanks scorekeeper! I don't understand court talk ~

I could not hear what the immunity is that is being offered.

If it is only that what he says in Court today cannot be used against him then that does not really help him in his own cases any, and is at is should be. What he said on jail phones about selling fake watches and steroids still can and will be used against him. All he needs to talk about today is what he and Doc M discussed about Michelle's death/murder.

So, if that is the set up, then the jury should have no problems with his testimony or the immunity. It just makes sense.

The defense, on the other hand, will have a few tricky things to say to him and about him. If they handle it intelligently they will be okay. If they handle it as they have any other issues with the witnesses so far, they just end up making themselves look desperate. Really takes a very, very tactful, quick thinking, and intelligent person to be a great attorney in sticky situations as such. There are very few that can do it well.

That was one serious deep breath the prosecutor took as this witness swore to tell the truth.

DEREK PULLAN, judge in the Martin MacNeill case, was appointed to the Fourth District Court in Utah County in 2003. He received his law degree from Brigham Young University in 1993, graduating 🤬🤬🤬 laude.

He then worked as a clerk at the Utah Supreme Court until 1994. He served as deputy county attorney in Washington and Wasatch counties in Utah from 1994 to 1999. Judge Pullan was appointed to serve as the Wasatch County Attorney from 1999 to 2003. He was elected presiding judge in 2007 and served two terms. He is also an adjunct professor at the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University.

Thanks for the updates folks. I am battling a killer headache. I never get headaches. Neighbor is cutting his lawn in the pouring rain. Other neighbor is getting a new roof. Too much noise. I have been up since 4:30 and out in the field working with the lab pup. So if I make a really stupidy head post or question you will know why. Carry on :scared:

He says Martin seemed privileged. He had special shoes that were not prison issued.

He said he can get away with a lot of things, like murdering his wife.
