Well, it took awhile for me, but I am warming up to Pead... go get him buddy !

  • #642
Maybe Pead interviewed him and was more than happy to stipulate it.

That's what I was thinking cuz I think he could have gotten him excluded if he tried

  • #643
Thank you Pead! The jury was all wondering about adrenaline.

  • #644
Ok, I'm sure one of the jurors is thinking, "I would have climbed into the tub, straddled her body, and lifted her torso up from under her arms." This witness is just carp!
:tantrum:

This witness is sounding a little defeated right about now.

Ohhh... "everyone talks about ... " something about adrenaline and loving someone or something like that.

  • #646
Make this stop :please:

Besser contradicts the "adrenaline" theory, saying he's never seen it in case studies. @fox13now #MartinMacNeill #MacNeilltrial

To be fair to MACneill, I know a person his age who recently pulled their back out and had to take a few days off of work because they sneezed while bent over the sink brushing their teeth!

Fully understand, and hope the friend is okay now.

I think Doc M was saving his back for something other than brushing teeth though. ;)

Besides the fact that it doesnt matter whether Martin tried to get her out of the tub or not - she was already dead. And none of this testimony gives any insight into whether or not Martin even tried to get her out of the tub.

I know who he reminds me of 'the most interesting guy in the world' guy in the beer commercials. Except he isn't interesting and I'm not drunk.

 Well of course not! He deals with planned careful lifting!

LOL - I love the hypotheticals

  • #654
This testimony is freaking insane. Coupling is that like canoodling?

  • #655
This is very damning for MacNeill. Who is thinking like this in a crisis. People do this type of things for strangers and MacNeill has an expert talking about it in his murder trial.

In the heat of the moment, a crisis, a drowning, etc. who thinks I am going to hurt my back?

Excellent job by the State with the questioning of the this witness - over and over.

Bingo...it is not designed for this situation..

  • #657
Injury can happen in a simple movement. It can happen in the workplace. It's ludicrous to even compare in an Emergency Situation.

I actually helped a mother across the street we stopped a Ford Van from rolling backwards and from rolling over her child.

It does matter, but not for the defense.

He should have immediately pulled her out of the tub to see if she was okay, and to perform CPR. That didn't happen.
