Hi,first post here. I have not go to watch all of this trial. I am catching up now. What is the consensus here? Guilty or not? I'm going to watch archives of days I have missed so I can decide. I feel in my gut he is guilty, but don't know if pros proved it or not. I am watching the inmates testimony now.

I hate when I get behind in live trials like this. My luck a verdict will come in when I am catching up!!!!!

Anyway, great to be here. I am a trial fanatic. :greetings:

Six days days. I don't think this will be an easy one for the jurors.

WOW! I think it will be tomorrow, but I'm always short by one or two days, so that makes it next Tuesday.......but I really think tomorrow afternoon.

Opiates cause constipation because they slow the gut down.
We were to believe that Michele was taking more than 2 percocet a day and this is why she was so "backed up".
*that is if the jury members already know this*
Was it addressed by an MD during the trial? If so I missed it.

Anesthesia is one of the biggest contributors to post op constipation. The gut slows way down while under. So that and Percocet will cause the constipation you are absolutely correct.

I was being snarky because Spencer spent more time on the constipation than what I would consider to be larger contributory factors. My last comment addressed the **** up his *** syndrome.

Welcome! Most of us here are trial fanatics. I think Guilty and probably most of the posters here agree. There have been other trials where a lot of us disagree though.

I'm thinking it might be problematic for the State that they cannot provide any evidence that mm gave her the drugs, and that she did not take them herself. It helps that she seemed to be tapering of the drugs, but it is not impossible, theoretically, that she took some, got confused, and overdosed herself. enuff for reasonable doubt? Don't know, but for some doubt.

Like I posted earlier I am drug sensitive and if I am confused about how long it's been since I took my last pill ( I take several) I wait until the next time that I am sure about. My doctor confirmed this is the best way to handle it instead of taking twice the dosage at once in error. I imagine Michele being leery of over medicating ( like I am) would elect not to take the pill rather than risk overdosing. JMO

I think tomorrow, plus or minus lunchtime.

ETA: I always jump the gun though. lol

I agree. I will be surprised if they do a whole day of deliberations tomorrow and don't have a verdict. It helps that there are no lesser included charges. imo

If the jury thinks with common sense, she had plans that day, was feeling good. IMO A person who's feeling good, over week after surgery, knowing they will be driving, going out in public would not take a any of the drugs found in her system. In fact she would have been up and showered long before she would have decided to take a bath. BTW I never, ever take a bath, even after 3 -sections, other surgery's never ever take a bath. Never ever wash my hair. I have washed my hair in the tub bending over the tub faucet, I was in my teens. I fractured my foot in 2004, would have been much easier to take a bath, but I took a shower. If I took a bath, I would feel like I need to shower.:scared: Was Michelle know to take a bath or to shower?

It isn't for me because she was planning on picking Ada up at 11:30.
IMO she didn't plan on taking any medications, but if she did ,only 1/2 a pain pill - not 4 different ones.
I do see where some would find doubt in it though.
I don't think she would take a narcotic with plans to drive...
Hence MM asking Alexis to call and tell her to take it easy... He didn't want her to leave the house for a reason.

Don't mean to offend anyone, but I actually do believe that Alexis' story evolved over time or changed slightly on some issues over time. That really doesn't bother me though because most of her story has been consistent, and it's been consistent on the main themes -- but people's perceptions and beliefs can color recollections after so many years

My feeling on the discrepancy about Alexis saying near the time of her mom's death that she had been feeling "a little sick" (Martin had already drugged her???) and now saying she remembers her mother as feeling great and doing well is that it seems like at the time, it was not a big deal. Michele was feeling somewhat ill, but everyone knew she was well on the road to recovery. They had gone out the night before, the meds were decreasing, mom was feeling "up" (Giselle said this, too) and things were returning to normal. What is uppermost in her mind now is that she felt everything was going to be OK, and the next thing she knows, her mother is dead. I think in the meantime, the bit about the queasiness or whatever was just eclipsed by the enormity of the fact that in the morning, her mom is up, about, talking about normal routine, and shortly thereafter, she is dead.

Yes, at least the verdict form is straight forward. I thought when judge was talking about their deliberations possibly on Sat. that there was a mention of them being sequestered, am I misremembering?

Don't forget this SS!

Casey lost! Casey Anthony will have to defend herself in court against 2 defamation lawsuits! #CaseyAnthony

Was the original Casey Anthony trial televised? I can't imagine watching another trial, after that one was finished.

Does this State pay for lunch while the jury deliberates? I have seen several seem to wait until after they have had lunch. Maybe it is easier on a full stomach to give life or death news?

If they work on Saturday and get lunch I say two hours after their lunch. IDK maybe it is sooner if they don't get lunch?

I've wondered if the jurors get paid lunch myself, but I get the sense that they eat in the courthouse. I'm not sure if paid or unpaid lunch will effect verdict.

Have the jurors gone home for the day?
By tonight we will be hearing about discension on the jury, what
Is taking so long and blah , blah blah ...
I guess early next week , and that is just a random guess. No
Rhyme or reason to it . MOO

Defense's closing implied that Michele never had pants on and was leaning over the tub trying to wet her hair under the faucet when she "fell" in. IMO that makes no sense. If you were doing that you wouldn't take your pants off. You might take your shirt off to keep it from getting wet, but you wouldn't leave shirt on and take pants off.
Also, Spence implied that Ada's description of finding Michele in the tub "trying to wet her hair" was consistent with MM's statement that she was "face down". But what I recall from little kids who bath and wash their hair in the tub, they generally lean back and dunk their head backwards leaving their face out of the water, so that would be how Ada would naturally describe her mom if Michele was face up, not down.
I agree, a child would think that is how to wash hair in the tub.
I would think of Michele were going to wash her hair she would do it in a sink. Maybe the kitchen sink. Bending over that far into the tub would cause more pain due to gravity- and the faucet was on the inside of the tub to the left.
I can't picture many women doing that much of a stretch to wash their hair!

Does the judge and attorneys come back in court to release the jurors for the day?

Also I never heard a definite answer that they were going to deliberate tomorrow.

I am thinking a verdict Tuesday or late tomorrow if they are in deliberation.

If they don't deliberate on Saturday, I am thinking Wednesday.

but I feel bad that "kid rock" is not on the jury....:blushing:

She had vomited a bunch of drugs Martin gave her according to Alexis or perhaps Rachel. Maybe that was what the "sick" was about.

Yes it was, that's how I found out about live-streamed trials, when In Session handed off coverage to HLN I about went out of my mind with HLN's constant commercials and silliness that I looked online for the trial and found the station in Fla. that live streamed it and watched the rest that way. I didn't know about WS then otherwise my post number would probably be tenfold. lol

I guess when judge releases jurors, he will announce the deliberations schedule

I think judge releases jury in courtroom at end of the day. We'll probably hear the deliberation schedule then.
Do we know anything about the jury?
