I've wondered if the jurors get paid lunch myself, but I get the sense that they eat in the courthouse. I'm not sure if paid or unpaid lunch will effect verdict.

Section I
How Jury Service Operates
No. 4 down tells how much jurors are paid ~ $18.50 for the first day, then $49.00 a day for any subsequent day of service. But I cannot find anything on their lunches. I was on jury duty years ago and lunch was not provided. However, it was a civil case and not a criminal case. I remember a few days when they brought lunches in for the jurors in the Hodi Arias case. I am thinking their lunches are paid for while they are deliberating? I don't know for sure.

Didn't Rachel say she found a pile of wet clothes that had some blood on it? I thought she said it was in the garage. I think she said she washed it?

yes, Rachel found clothes in the garage.....I don't know if she found towels there also.......I think we were initially discussing where the wet towels were found by the neighbor that was cleaning up....

it's so hard to remember every little detail........:scared:

I heard on HLN that Alexis will be on Nancy Grace tonight only if a verdict has come in. I see that as sort of false hype to get viewers as it is doubtful that the verdict would be in and read prior to NG's show tonight. Wonder if NG can have any legal recourse after Spencer used her show so much in closing and implied that Dr. Perper is a NG puppet?

I am in same time zone as the trial. Usually play cards at 6 p.m. on Friday nights. Just called friend and said I'm skipping tonight. She said "Are you still watching the dam# trial?" LOL

My daughter called me three times today and three times I could not talk as I told her "we are in closing arguments". You would think I was the attorney involved. I told her I would call when "we" are in verdict watch!! She has been through a few trials with me. I told her if Martin walks free I am giving trial watching up.

I was thinking that a perfect "cellie" (new term to me) for Martin would be the esteemed Drew Peterson. I think the two would have so much in common!!

I think the neighbor found the wet towels in the laundry room

:seeya:

Now that you say that I think your right. I'm starting to mix up facts.

Didn't Rachel say she found a pile of wet clothes that had some blood on it? I thought she said it was in the garage. I think she said she washed it?

I should check, I've got a copy of the warrant but this tablet is cumbersome and painfully slow. However, there were no towels to hand when Doug tried to clean up. This means they had already been moved out of the bathroom when the neighbours arrived at the scene.

I discounted most of what Spencer said today but one point caught my attention...apparently at 11am on April 11 Martin made a call to Quest from his office. That seems really odd and I wonder what the call was about (I'm sure they could have checked). If he was wanting to go get the award etc. or had gotten it (can't remember) and was going to get Ada Quest would be the last company I would call as it takes hours to get through their digital jungle and get the question or problem resolved. Anyone else notice that?

Hi,first post here. I have not go to watch all of this trial. I am catching up now. What is the consensus here? Guilty or not? I'm going to watch archives of days I have missed so I can decide. I feel in my gut he is guilty, but don't know if pros proved it or not. I am watching the inmates testimony now.

I hate when I get behind in live trials like this. My luck a verdict will come in when I am catching up!!!!!

Anyway, great to be here. I am a trial fanatic. :greetings:

:welcome4: RhondaAnn

And BELATED :welcome: to anyone I may have missed these last few weeks who is new to WS, I have been a little scattered and probably missed a couple newbs :seeya:

No, but stupid move on any attorneys part to bring NG up after juror questioning. The reason potential jurors can be asked is b/c the entire 30 seconds of shows (after commercials) is all prosecution directed. Hang 'em high and dry before there is even a case. Really should never be asked in any trial, it is a moot point. Any intelligent attorney, prosecution or state, must approach jurors with personal questions during Voir Dire that will reflect the jurors feelings on issues, not what t.v. told them.

{Just gives NG's shows boosts, which IMO the shows should not exist. They are harmful to any case broadcasted, from a legal point of view.}

Item 90 on Arrest Warrant (paraphrasing, can't copy & paste)

After Ambulance left, Doug thought to clean up bathroom. Finding no towels there, he walked down the hallway to laundry room where he found bloodied towels.

This trial did not get into important aspects. I was surprised, but I live in an area with so many murder trials that I expect so much more.

Maybe I should retire in a town without murders? I really did not think that such a town existed until now.

LOL Yes it also keeps our significant others from having to pretend to always be interested :floorlaugh:

So true! A few weekends ago, the whole family drove down to St. George, UT for the weekend (about 4 hours). On the way down, I talked through all the scummy things Martin had done. Despite the fact that WE'RE TALKING ABOUT ONE OF THE MOST NARCISSISTIC PEOPLE WHO HAVE EVER WALKED THE PLANET, about an hour into it, they were clearly getting bored. But by then, I was on a roll, and there was no stopping me. Eventually, I look back and my little girl has stealthily slipped on headphones, my son is asleep, and my wife is in the passenger seat, sneaking glances at a Reader's Digest.

I thought they all seemed a little thankless! I could have been obsessing over the Denver Broncos (one of my other big vices).

Well, Martin's phone was in his unlocked office. The speculation was that it must have been used by someone completely unrelated to what happened that day.

I think when the seal is gone, we're done for the day. It's nearly 5 p.m. in Utah. Maybe judge is going to announce end of day.

MOO -
In my experience it is quite normal for staff to use a doctor's phone in his office. Why use a phone in the hall if a doctor is not there and you can use a phone in a quiet office for an office related phone call?
Unless there is a rule that this is not allowed.

This was the first time MM popped up on the timeline again? It makes for normalcy, a mundane chore. What man would call Quest after murdering his wife? Also, a good ruse to gather one's thoughts. Appear as though in conversation while, in fact, on hold. That's complete conjecture on my part MOO

I thought that too, but I just rewinded it and that lady/host said Dr. Macneill's outspoken daughter Alexis joins NG tonight ~ If the jury reaches a verdict tonght what will she say after weeks of explosive testimony ....

I think its just the way it came out, in one long sentence. I too thought, what the H** IF ?? I'm pretty sure she will be on either way.

marty has a trial coming up in December about his molestation charges

(I am a little upset that Ben kept calling him DR.)

If someone has a twitter account perhaps you can notify him that marty is no longer a dr.
