I believe that Spencer is doing that case too. he is asking for a delay as he says he is too tired after the last case...that is sort of pathetic. i hope they don't give him a delay...Alexis deserves a speedy trial now. I also think truth be known he is scared of her...she is so much sharper than he is.

I also hope he is denied a delay. The case was filed when the charges were brought against him in regards to the identity fraud which was years ago so this didn't just come up. Spencer shouldn't have offered to take the 2 DAY case if he needs more than almost a month to 'rest up' from the murder trial, which he also offered to take. I'm guessing he doesn't want MM to have another conviction on his record before he's sentenced in Jan. and that's why he wants the delay. Anyone want to speculate as to how much time MM is going to be sentenced to for the murder and for the obstruction of justice? The possibilities range from 15 years to life. I doubt he'll get the 15 years since he's already been convicted and served time for the identity theft.

That is exactly what Spencer is doing...they don't want that on the record for sentencing. Well too bad I hope the court will see through that...I don't think he will get it..if he can't recover from one trial and move on to the next (most attorneys are working 3 or 4 at the same time) with a month in between he may want to turn in that license. As for MM...he should get the two sentences consecutively...don't know what the second sentence is so hoping for life but expect maybe 40? (which is life for him)

Anything for a buck, I guess. She 's gonna end up in jail with her sweetie if she's not careful...

Is Dr. Phil on Oprah's channel, OWN? (I don't watch him)
I see that he is asking her some very interesting questions. Wonder what her answers will be.
The money that he's paying her must be good?

If you look here:
http://community.drphil.com/boards/?EntryID=35878

"My nephew was one of the first responders when the mom was found. The son was so upset and as he walked up to them crying he made the comment "well my dad finally killed her". Unfortunatley this would never have been looked into because he was a "doctor". It took his children and her family to get them to even investigate this..."

Looks like Damian had a different take on the murder in the beginning. I wonder what made him change his mind?

Wow! Thank you for the link to the comments, that is interesting about Damian! He must have!! I think when MM was sent to prison for the forgery that Damian knew for sure that his dad had indeed murdered his mom. He probably couldn't handle it. So sad.

Dr. Phil is on a local station where I live. Here is the listings, just click on your State.

Lol, just let her keep talking. If it were me, I would just fade away into the background of whatever employment and apartment I could find, and never, ever speak of MM again. Don't know if she gets paid to be on these shows or not, but I would think being very quiet would be the best choice.

I see Damian really did know his dad did it, just went into denial, either b/c of shock, or fear of dad I'll guess. :(

Here is an article discussing a possible appeal, which of course will happen.

I'm quite the skeptic when evidence is mainly circumstantial, and I try hard not to get caught up in "witch hunts," etc., but I feel strongly that the jury got this one right. I know there are a lot of credible people out there who are concerned that there was not enough evidence to convict MM, that people think the jury based their verdict on feelings rather than facts. But what really did it for me was Dr. Perper's testimony. I don't consider that evidence to be circumstantial. He was an expert witness who stated he concluded that she drowned. The Defense had no one to dispute that. Now, I guess you could say well maybe she wandered into the bathroom on her own and was groggy from pills and just passed out and drowned accidentally...but Alexis' testimony that Michele was alert that morning, was planning on picking up Ada later, and was opting not to take the pain killers by that time...that's enough for me to say that Martin's the one who doped her up for one reason alone.

Is this the same video?
http://www.kutv.com/

Dunno'. Can't get that one to load, but both are kutv.

At work, no speakers, so I can't hear them.

The first one just looks like a morning news blurb, guessing no new date reported, as the article just explains why he will be in Court today.
