HI- Welcome! Thanks for sharing! Do you know about the neighborhood? Is it mostly new or old residential? Are there hospitals or clinics nearby? Thanks much

I know that area very well older office complex south of Walmart so many homeless living in complex city tore down the little cottonwood creek runs between Walmart and feild old office complex still homeless living in that area water panhandling Walmart parking lot I would think someone who could not get a scrip from doc you could get fix easy in that area it was surprising to me to find that amount of squatters in this area

Very interesting that he was found so close to where he was last seen yet in all of those massive searches no sign of him.

It probably didn't help that there were "sightings" in so many areas that apparently distracted from his actual location.

Shades of many cases I've seen here before...Kayelyn Louder, Bryce Laspisa, Teleka Patrick, Elisa Lam...The belongings not belonging to him is strange though...and the 2 backpacks? Then there was alcohol but then there was no alcohol...My best guess, as mentioned already, is that some squatters were in his car after he passed...

We will see what the ME and tox says.

When my niece's body was located in the woods after 14 months in the elements, she was not recognizable. However her handbag was with her and her ID was in it. The state troopers immediately took it to my sister at her place of employment, then a dental match was made. If this was an unrecognizable person, they will not say anything definitive until there is a DNA or Dental match to someone. We always knew when there was a body found in the area, we just had to wait it out. (she was also not the 1st body found in the area after she went missing). Due to her handbag and ID, we were 99% certain it was her before the dental match and before it was released to the public. Prior to that the story was a "body was found" The handbag portion of the story was never in the media.

That is how it works. When my sister awoke that morning of November 8,1995, she said "today is the day Paulette is going to be found".
My friends death was ruled a suicide- she fell/jumped from a bridge on Christmas Day. When they found her a few weeks later she was not able to be identified without DNA but the clothing confirmed it immediately:-(

As tragic as it is, finding his body is a relief as opposed to living a nightmare the rest of your life never knowing what happened to him. There is never closure, but someday the family may be able to move on and not left in limbo, which is the worse emotional place you could ever be.

As well, folks getting carried away with their imaginations. I hope his family is doing ok.

They can't know exactly but its an approximate thing after so much decomp sets in. Its easier if you are found sooner.
How do they know for sure what day he passed away?

They are using the day he was found. When people are found a long time after dying the official date and time of death is when the ME pronounces them dead. August 13th is likely the date on the death certificate. I've seen people in missing persons cases choose the date someone is found for the headstone. I've also seen the family choose the day they went missing. It is a personal choice, IMO, and indicates nothing about what day he actually passed away.

When will cause of death be in? Will it be shared in the news? Do we know if it was suicide or...?

JMO, but I doubt the COD will be shared at all. They have said they don't suspect foul play. If it's not a homicide it is either suicide or natural causes or accidental death. None of those would necessarily impact public safety and the police often keep COD confidential when it's not a homicide. JMO. :moo:
