A Utah man who was pulled over for a traffic stop is now facing murder charges, after the body of his former girlfriend was found in the back seat of his car.

During an interview with investigators, Johnson stated that he and Roney were previously in a relationship and that they had lived together in Herriman, court documents obtained by the outlet state, but that it was "over with their relationship."

Roney's body had 'significant injuries and trauma that would be consistent with a homicide,' according to a probable cause statement, viewed by Fox 13 Now.

He also admitted Roney had 'physical trauma' and that he had 'put her in the vehicle,' according to court documents. The father-of-two did not elaborate on how his girlfriend got the wounds.
