@yellowmoose, I hate to even ask this since it is really trivial in the overall scheme of the horror of this crime and the pain that Kenzie's family is going to endure every day for the rest of their lives, but do you by any chance know if Kenzie's cat has been taken in by someone? I could tell from her social media that she loved her cat (and animals in general). I hope her cat has a caretaker. Animals have feelings, too, and they know when their owners are gone.

Thank you! I have been very concerned for precious Nova as well.

Yes that’s what I posted I just had the wrong weapon - less than a minute I’m guessing as soon as she opened the door he pointed it at her - poor girl
I think he waited until the other car left before he got threatening. Otherwise, she might have tried to bolt or scream or the Lyft driver might have noticed distress in her body language.

Has she ever met him prior? I doubt it. Then how could she possibly feel safe?
I think if they'd been chatting awhile, she probably felt like she knew him, even if she'd never met him. I know just from being on forums with people, it's easy to start to feel like you know the other folks there really well when the truth of the matter is you simply don't.

She willingly went to meet him in the wee hours of the morning. She didn’t tell anyone she was and the Lyft driver noticed nothing out of the ordinary. It’s pretty hard for me to assume she felt unsafe...

The best-laid schemes of mice and men often end in handcuffs. Chalk it up to another dumb criminal.

Why is it that the dumb are the boldest?

and often dangerous.

Had a gun. Immediately.
I would bet my next five paychecks on it
i meant the wrong type of gun not the one that matched the ammo does UT track gun permits ?

Wow AA appeared to be very arrogant
I was just about to say the same thing. What a jerk. MOO

Barraclough said he remembers the community would remind Ajayi to not water his lawn in the middle of the day or put cement in the recycling bin.

“He says, 'I can water when I want,'” Barraclough recalled. “'Who’s going to do anything about it?'”

Isn’t it possible they just turned their phones off so they wouldn’t be interrupted?
I don’t think so. He conveniently met her at a park with no working cameras. He was familiar with that park as he used to live in the apt across the street.

Is the park well-lit? One with athletic fields and a playground and parking? Or a dark wooded park?

Arrogance - I think we will see a lot more of his true nature now IMo

His title is literally just a fancy way of saying Help Desk guy.

He probably spent his days telling people how to reboot their computers or why their printer wasn't working. The Senior in his title says that he MAYBE had a pod of other techs under him. Doubtful though. More than likely than not the senior just meant that he had been there a number of years, was well versed, and thus didn't deal with the simple small stuff.

We are way overestimating his technical capabilities.
I lead an area that provides technical support, installation and parts for a very large franchise brand. I see people with job titles like his apply all the time and they are very trumped up to sound fancy and more qualified.

Many tech shops add words like “Senior”, “Escalated” or “Level [X]” in front of the agent title to sound more knowledgeable or important. It helps when someone who is not tech-savvy calls in and you can’t fix their problem immediately. People have much more confidence and get much less frustrated when the first rep says they’re transferring you to a “Senior Level 2 Associate” vs “My IT co-worker”.

Trust me, this guy is it some Neo-level hacker. As noted his official title is based on either length of service or perhaps his department wanted to make their team sound like they had guru type skills. Pure smoke and mirrors.

I honestly think he just lucked out on the cameras. He was so sloppy overall that I bet he had no clue there were cameras at the park.

Nor a police station....

Thank you all mods for taking such good care of these forums - it’s sad that you had to move it but the family knows now while many others do not

I found it really sad that my first thought was that at least her family knows she’s gone and where her remains are. We have followed too many cases where the family is still searching.

He was sloppy all around here, and I don’t think he had anything like that.

For every somewhat smart move, he made a stupid mistake.

He disabled her cell phone quickly, but his phone put him in that location.

He lured her to an isolated area, but was the last person to message her.

He got rid of evidence, but did it in the dumbest way imaginable (Facebook and Letgo trail, and conspicuous fire).

He thought ahead, but he’s clearly not as smart as he thinks he is.
It's as if everything he thought of stopped at the Great Idea Fairy stage, with no sense of how each solution he chose led immediately back to him.
