So this is what he was so busy doing instead of playing with his beautiful baby girl? Sick..
Not excusing him, but gaming has become a mental health issue it's a disease as bad as ANY other addiction. IMO

I was astonished that the dad referenced crib time like it was normal.

I wonder how the older brother managed to survive.

MOO
I wonder if little Ruby was treated differently because she was a girl? They certainly wouldn't be the first parents to do that

A few posts from Mitchell Murray’s social media. Please note the dates the photos were posted in April, just a month after Ruby died.

*Mitchell’s Murray’s YouTube gaming account and his Facebook page have since been taken down.

Hi, all. I noticed there was a link to a GoFundMe in one of the articles I read. The fundraiser is gone now, of course. Does anyone know if it was archived or if there are screenshots?

Yeah that’s what I meant - they were the selfish dad’s favourites, not Ruby’s. He’s projecting his likes/dislikes onto this poor child because clearly he didn’t know her since he spent no time with her.

Sorry if my post came across as confrontational, I just don’t think it’s useful to suggest that the content of his hobbies had a bearing on the treatment of his child. It’s an easy trap to fall into that diminishes the fact that he chose to neglect and abuse his child(ren). It was a choice.

He has no interest in the well-being of his child and clearly never has, his only interest is covering his own a$$ and spending all of his energy doing what he wants and ignoring his responsibilities.
I agree with all that you've said about MM and the music.
There are no excuses for him or the wife and CM can't claim ignorance claiming that she was at work because for starters Ruby's crib and under her mattress where littered with garbage and old food which the amount LE said does not equate to just one day of "crib time".

CM & MM along with all the other parents who torture/tortured their children derive some kind of ongoing sadistic pleasure from doing so otherwise the first time they did something that's considered abusive or even off to their child and saw their child's distress they would have immediately stopped.

How in the world did a so-called civil society get here when every day there are news reports from all states of another child/children either found severely abused or dead.
Maybe we were always there but having had no available technology to spread the news we were spared the horrors along with knowing that so many of the abusers/murderers of children got a pass or a slap on the hand.
imo

I can answer some questions about CM's work. I have worked directly with her in the past. Cared for patients with her even. She was an RN at Logan Regional Hospital in Logan, UT. Last I knew, she worked on the medical/surgical floor.

We do have access to employee child care on hospital property. I use it and it has been a lifesaver. I keep thinking about how much I wish Ruby had been enrolled. We do have to pay, but it is affordable relative to local pricing. And it can be hard to find child care in our area.

She did have access to hospital patients. Typically adult, any type of condition that would be on a medical floor or patients recovering from surgery. I didn't know her extremely well, but I never had concerns about her work and I never heard any. She seemed "normal" to me and I was deeply shocked by the news.

I worked with her when she was pregnant with Ruby. She told me she was excited about the pregnancy and had actually hoped to get pregnant sooner with her second but it didn't work out that way. I've wondered if any coworkers who worked with her after Ruby was born noticed anything. I wasn't around at the time.
I so appreciate your input, thank you.
Why even pay a minimal amount for childcare when daddy's at home gaming 24/7. /s
Children love being around other children and Ruby was denied absolutely everything that is good that family, friends and society had to offer her.

I can't begin to imagine the shock and horror that you , other co-workers and the administration felt and continue to feel as this tragic horror unfolds.
All of you hit the one degree of separation which has to give one much to ponder.

I'm pleased that CM gave no obvious indications while at work that raised suspicions yet if I were the CEO at the hospital I would peak into the records of her patients.
imo
Thanks again.

I think it was an addiction too, to screens, basically. I'm thinking of the dad in AZ who gamed on the computer, iirc, while his daughter died in the car parked outside and the dad (also in AZ?) who was watching a sports event while his son drowned in the backyard pool.

I know it's not just a dad thing, but part of me wonders if some men downplay how much time, effort, and "presence" need to go into taking care of babies. "Crib time" alone in a room is not a thing.

I also know the mom in this situation had to have known what was going on, so I'm not excusing either of them for the way little Ruby was treated.

I don't think this one has anything to do with religion. MOO
Yes, It doesn't appear that religion played a role but besides it being reported that MM & CD are cousins I've seen no delving. especially by local reporters to validate it.

I wasn't going after your post at all! I just read it and thought that the evil in that house was in the parents not Ruby. Sorry!
All is good.
No need at all for a "sorry" but it was kind of you to offer it.

Unfortunately, it's the case that we are just hearing more about it now. We don't even hear all of them, honestly, I can attest to that much. We're 'lucky' (for lack of a better word) to hear about this case, as it appears that non-related parties to a criminal case in Utah have to pay for both searches and to view the documents. Cache County SO seems to be very stringent about who can receive records -- and you have to pay for them as well.

I agree about the sadism, though. I think CM & MM did this intentionally, not just neglectfully.

You have to remember that Ruby would have been more visible to others in a daycare, too. They probably didn't want people to raise any concerns.

49 seconds of human contact in her last 24 hours.

That's not just abject neglect, it's as if they were just waiting for her to die.

So they could call 911 and move on.

It's inhumane, subhuman, mind-blowing, horrifying. It's all the words except any good ones.

Why and for what????????

Exactly. Intentional neglect. Wholesale neglect. Stale milk, rotting food... and just let her be.

So purposeful.
