I can't believe how much Rosie Tapia and Sierre look alike - same age dumped the same way - taken the same way in the same city?

Could this be the same perp who found someone who looks like Rosie and struck again?? MO

Or, if it is the same perp as Rosie's, he never left at all but something set him "off" again.

Perhaps he noticed Sierra looked like Rosie. This August it will be 17 years since Rosie was killed. Maybe the perp was in jail and recently released? I think it is worth LE looking into this. The similarities are too strong to ignore. MO

I agree, the similarities in the basic facts seem pretty striking.

I saw this on fox news and came straight to ws to see if any new information.

so was she taken from inside the house? or was she outside playing? confused.

However, I've read in news reports that there was surveillance camera at the house that has 'images' on it that they're investigating. The police aren't commenting on what, if anything, was found on the video at this point.

No obvious evidence of break in at the house, per investigators.

When you do a google news search for Sierra... the entire first page of results are not local media. So it's getting national attention...

I agree the similarities to Rosie's case are creepy... worth looking into. (Do they have DNA from her case, I don't remember.)

I am also seeing more similarities to Isa's case as time goes on.

How many cases of missing children from homes do we have which involve security cameras?

The fact that there was security camera footage from Sierra's house...

There is security camera footage in Isa's case and Isa even had a non functioning security camera on her house... is kinda creepy.

I know a common belief is the father in Isa's case. But that may be totally off base. Many here were convinced Riley Fox's father killed her.

I think they should look into Isa's case too... keep it in mind.

I would assume that she was put to bed by a parent. But it's a good question I haven't seen asked by the media. What was going on the night before? When was she seen last and by whom?

In Isa's case they released the 911 calls which gave us more information around the evening before and that morning. Is that usually standard that LE will release the 911 call? I wonder if we will get that in this case. They seem to be keeping the details very quiet in this case.

There are several similar cases in the Mountain West and Southwest going back several decades. I do not remember the details since it's been so long. But there was a multi state task force set up to investigate any possible links. I never heard any follow up to this. I distinctly remember JBR, Rosie Tapia and another little girl in Nevada among others. IMO, Isa fits right in.

O/T, The hot wind is back today. Our firefighters will not be getting a break anytime soon.

After the Elizabeth Smart case LE here became very tight lipped on future cases. Usually we hear about zero details until an arrest is made. I'm surprised LE has said as much as they have so far.

I'm thinking about a possible connection to Isa and also remember the break the BTK killer took regarding Rosie's case..
