Pardon my ignorance, but coming from Australia I have to ask -

Are Hispanics regarded as "white" for police purposes?

The reason I ask that the POI in Rosie's case is described as "white". Would they be described as such if they are Hispanic?

Or would they be described as Hispanic?

I know in the UK they use IC1, IC2, IC3 etc to describe different racial groups.

Generally, Hispanic is given as a group separately, just as Caucasian is; I believe this suspect in Sierra's case is Native American however, according to the mug shot/jail records.

They said it was a ' white man with a dark complexion and dark brown hair.'

That sounds like the description of a hispanic male, imo.

That was 4 days later, and he still hadn't showered or changed his clothes? Did he live alone? he must have.

He seems like a dirty, nasty, disgusting jerk! How dare he do what he did to Sierra. I hope they put his butt in the general population and let them have at him!

Thank you, shows how much I know.

These days we're so politically correct in Australia they are often just described as "dark"...which could mean a sun tan.:maddening:

So on the face of things, this person is not the POI in Rosie's case, being of a different racial appearance.

Further, this offender shows no sign of "perfecting" his crime, which would imply to me that they are unrelated. I would expect victim 2 to be hidden better, or at least taken by car to a third crime scene to be abused. IMO there would also be more victims than 2 little girls, 10 years apart.

The sad thing is, sexual predators often like pretty little girls, which is why the victims are so similar on the surface, and the crimes seem so similar. Only LE will be able to confirm if they are identical enough to be the same perp, which personally I doubt.

It's a miracle and divine intervention according to LE.

I think I'll give credit to a stupid criminal and of course the detectives who connected the dots.

If it's divine intervention then why didn't Rosie, Kiplyn, Kyron, Ayla etc get that help. :tears:

I am sorry, but I will respectfully disagree here. I think that it is possible that there are certain crimes that are solved with a little help from divine intervention. I think that yes, there was some good ole fashion detective work at play here. However, I also believe that for the detective to "have the hairs raise on the back of his neck", he may have had some inspiration to take a look at this guy.

I too wish that there was divine intervention on every case, but it doesn't happen. Just because it doesn't happen on every case does not mean that it cannot happen on one case. I thought it incredible that they found little Sierra within an hour. She WAS very close to home, but finding her that quickly was still a small miracle.

I am of the opinion that we do not know when/where/why there is divine intervention; but we should just be thankful when it does happen. I cannot dismiss the possibility of DI just because it doesn't exist in every story. Sorry, I just had to state MHO

"miracles do happen" he (LE.. I don't know his name..) believes it's divine intervention that the robbery suspect was spotted at a bank after a robbery using a stolen car, and that the dots were connected.

Can't help myself from saying this, but divine intervention would have been around 3:00 a.m. on 6/26.

I agree to an extent. However, what if this guy was going to continue and get worse? What was his next move if he hadn't been caught. He had been arrested several times this year alone. What would have happened if they hadn't caught him on the burglary charge and connected him to Sierra? Would he have killed an entire family?

The way this poor child died is just horrible. As a parent, my heart would break (even more) knowing my child was in fear her last minutes and without the ability to even understand what was happening or why. And to have to finally succumb to drowning......I'm speechless.

No.

Men that rape and murder babies are cowardly. They wish to hurt victims smaller and less defensive than themselves.

He would ABSOLUTELY have gone on to abduct, rape and murder more little girls. No question.

No, I'm not talking about LE at all - my interpretation of "divine intervention" is from the Gods and angels. I can't go that route because to me, if heavenly forces can do these miracles, baby girls would not be kidnapped, raped, beaten, and drowned. I'll just call it damn fine detective work.

But the Devil and his disciples are difficult adversaries. God's angels can only do so much. They cannot prevent all the evil in this world. But sometimes they can rally in the aftermath, imo. :star::angel::angel::rose::star:

Well, God's angels haven't done anything for JonBenet, Caylee, Lisa, Kyron, Haleigh, Isabel, Ayla, or all the other children who haven't gotten justice.

We don't really know what they have or have not done. And as I said, EVIL is a very strong force. It is not easily vanquished. JMO

FWIW, I think this is all our own opinions and it would be best to leave our religious beliefs at the door for now.

arrested as bank robbery suspect.. was still dirty from rape..dna from penis swab.. I'm sick hearing this..

Agree with you on that! There isn't much that could make this case more sickening, but the details of the dna, his photo, and apparently his personal hygiene just makes me feel like - OMG so gross!

My feelings go out to this family! How horrible to be put under the microscope the way they have been. I must say, very stoic reaction on their part. The media could have ripped them apart and sorry to say, I WAS getting very impatient!

Prayers and love go out to the family, and especially to little Sierra. ... wish our society as a whole had done a better job of protecting you!

So, he abducted and murdered little Sierra on 6/26/2012, and he was arrested for a completely seperate charge of car theft and bank robbery on 6/29/2012 - and the arresting officer was astute enough to notice that the debris on his clothing appeared similar to the debris on Sierra's clothing found in the field? DNA from Sierra was found 'on his body'? He had not bathed - or even changed clothing in 3 days? WTH???? I am willing to bet he is also responsible for the fires at the two homes that burned down. I bet he had been on some sort of drug-binge where he probably had not even slept in days. I have absolutely NO sympathy for him.... he does not deserve a clean bed and food every day for the rest of his life. :banghead:

This creeper even had a child of his own... how could he? What makes a grown man think it is OK to take a child and HURT them like this? Not sure why I keep asking this question, case after case, after case, after case. I will never understand because I would kill myself before I ever harmed a child.

"Black has been paying down a debt of child support and the most recent payment was made July 4. He owes more than $15,000 in back payments for child support. In 1993, he was named in a paternity suit filed at Richfield’s 6th District Court."
