So he left the wedding with the child, he left his skateboard at his sister's house and he was at another location?

He showed up at his sisters house.

  • #202
He kidnapped his niece on a skateboard?
Maybe she's closer to the missing location?
That is, he didn't take her on his skateboard, he walked somewhere nearby with her?

Idk how his skateboard came to be at sister’s house, someone said he rode in on it, but yes it was left behind.
It appears LE believe he’s somehow involved in the disappearance.

What wedding, please?

IF he left with the child, he couldn’t handle both her & his board in the dark, imo. Plus a skateboard can be rather noisy.
Didn't want to say it. I hope that they use the dogs to follow his scent. And I hope that they set up a grid and ask as many volunteers, fire, etc... to actively search EVERYWHERE in that radial grid. I would plead for mutual aid from as many neighboring departments as possible. And not give up hope.

The wedding was speculation by someone because he was dressed up. As far as I know no wedding. He showed up at sisters house in skateboard. Everyone went to bed. Skateboard left at house. Him and girl gone

Oh, ty. Black suit might mean black jogging suit, a black uniform or something, imo. I don’t think he looks the type that skateboarded around dressed in a black business suit. Jmo

One commenter says she lives behind the house where the little girl lives and that there are police everywhere and a crime lab set up. Would they do that to gather evidence of the kidnapping or does that mean they may have found something else?

No.

He suddenly appeared, uninvited apparently, at his older sisters home last night, on his skateboard. Apparently they had a nice family night, and the adults all went to sleep around 2 am. Mom checked on her girl then, and she was in bed asleep.

At 9:30 mo0m went to wake up her daughter and she was gone. Her brother was gone too but left his skateboard behind.

He was found at 3 pm this afternoon, about 9 miles away from Logan, where his sister lives.

Sounds like he took her from her home after a wedding, and after she was last seen by her mother at 2AM. At 10AM she reported her daughter and Whipple missing. At 3PM he was found and arrested. He is uncooperative, but her clothing was found with him. She cannot be far from the house.

"Elizabeth Shelley, the 5-year-old girl, was last seen by her mother about 2 a.m. Saturday morning in Logan when she went to bed, Logan police chief Tyson Budge said. Whipple showed up at the home when they went to bed and was missing, along with Elizabeth, shortly before 10 a.m. when the household woke up, Budge added.
...

Information about where and how Whipple was found was not immediately available. Budge said Whipple is "not being that cooperative" but police found items of clothing with him that lead them to believe Elizabeth was with him.
...

Police don't believe Elizabeth could have gotten far. "We believe she is still in the general area of her home," Budge said. Authorities are asking any residents in the area of 300 South to 100 North and 300 West to 600 West to check for any video surveillance from their homes, specifically between 2 a.m.-12 p.m. Saturday, and report any suspicious activity to police."

No wedding. I speculated that because his clothing description was he was wearing a dark suit.

I agree, close by IMO. He would look completely out of place if he walked with her or carrying her north, south, or east. Seems to be a quieter more open area to the west. But nearby Hyrum, to the east huge park. IMO Unless he took a car in the middle of the night and returned it. He might not have a car but he might know how to drive.

Catching up. Thank you.
No Wedding!

She disappeared from her home after having been seen by her mother at 2AM.
At 10AM, her mother discovered and reported that they were missing.
At 3PM he was found. All finger point in one direction.

If I had to guess, I do not think he took his niece anywhere on his skateboard. I think he walked somewhere with her, and she will be at that location. He then rode his skateboard to his sister's house, and went somewhere else where he was arrested.

Why would he want to get rid of, or hide, the skateboard? Where was he hiding her clothing from the night she disappeared if he was on a skateboard? Was her clothing tucked in a pocket?

True, true. What kind of vehicles were at the home? Could he have accessed the keys? Is there any possibility that he borrowed a car for any length of time without them knowing? I don't think thats the case here but if it is, then the search area just really opened up.

They've been using K9s throughout the whole search. With her clothes I'm sure she'll be found by the morning, especially now that the FBI is involved.
