But it would take 2+ hours to have walked to that gas station on foot. So you are likely down to 11:30 am if everything happened near the house, if not earlier.

And my comment is only relative to many other cases.
I suggest he shaved some time/miles off, cutting thru parking lots & yards. Evidently he didn’t catch a ride, I do believe someone would have advised LE if they had transported him.
Imo, he had to be alone by daybreak, needing to have Lizzie hidden before people were out & about.
I wonder now, was his dark suit a premeditated wardrobe choice, knowing he wouldn’t be as visible on cameras?
Also, I wonder, did he expect his sister to be up & awake upon arrival, or was he planning a B & E/abduction, but upon arrival found the family still awake, so asked to stay over? Imo, he had an abnormal interest in his niece prompting him to abduct her.

From your link, it sounds like Uncle is talking, but his words are not ringing true.
By now his days & sequence of events are probably not clear in his mind, pertaining to his travel path, etc.
from link:

We don't know his path," said Capt. Budge. "We have not been able to confirm any of his story where he went and stores he went into through surveillance video. I don't think he's been very honest with us at all."

Can’t believe we’re waking up to another day without having found Lizzy :(

A lot of skateboarders gather in parking lots after hours, when lots are pretty much vacant. Where I live, restrictions were put in place banning them from many areas as a lot of vandalism was occurring.
I bet AW also rode his around factory & shopping district lots, and knows a lot of nooks & crannies. Jmo

I think she will be found very close to home :(.

Another question----we saw that he changed his profile picture on Saturday morning.

How did he do that without a phone? Did he meet up with someone ? Did he have a burner that his sis didn't know about?
The profile pic says it was changed at 11:59am (this is in EST, so results in UT will be different) (Friday) May 24th. So I think that was clearly sometime prior to the morning of Saturday, May 25th?

"Alexander Whipple updated his profile picture.

Actually, it was reported that AW had a burner phone but he left it at his sister's house along with his skateboard. I read this in the same news that misreported his bond was $250k versus $25k. I've not seen this reported elsewhere so I'm not certain.o_O
Link?

It seems to me, as hard as it is to say this, that if she was stuffed somewhere on someones property close by, there would be an unmistakable odor or insects etc. by now.

It has been suggested that he easily could carry her for a distance and that he walked eight miles back to Hyrum overnight but LE has not expanded the search area out toward the landfill and the open areas west of the city. What do they know that keeps them looking three times in surrounding properties?

I wonder if they looked into the surveillance camera around the truck stop which is right there to see if he hitched a ride with a trucker heading south, someone who may be out of the area now and not be aware of the situation.

I thought so too, with him being on foot.....but now....I don't know...just can't believe they haven't found her yet.

Maybe I am not a nice person, but I have cut off family and friends who have issues with substance abuse and I don't understand why anyone would allow someone with that kind of history into their home with a small child?

I get that not everyone is like me, but why not bring that baby to sleep in your room if you are allowing someone with that kind of history into your home? I get he is family... but, come on!!

I do hope they find her. It's pretty obvious that they (Detectives) know this isn't "ending well" but...

... I don't know. I wouldn't have allowed him in my home. I would have called the cops if he showed up at my house.
Has it been stated somewhere that this young man did anything other than 'marijuana'?

My theory is that he walked the railroad tracks starting from 2 blocks to the house to within about half mile of the Hyrum Short Stop. He might have more places to hide following the tracks, rather than take the paved streets.

I also dont think he carried this 30-40# child very far. I’d be looking close to the home and across the tracks in that area. There is the landfill, some ponds that look contaminated, lots of odd piles of stuff around there

I also recall that someone saw him without his backpack. It would be good to kmow what this backpack looked like & what sort of capacity it had.

Really, almost as if they think she’s being moved, afterva location is cleared.

LE said he has a drug problem. No mention of specific drugs.

I do understand your logic, Missing. I truly do.

All I am saying many hours had passed before they knew Elizabeth was even missing.

That large gap in time is often the reason why it's so hard to find the missing victim. Often they dont even know which direction the suspect went with the victim.

That's all I was trying to say.

I really thought she would be found by now. I made the mistake of assuming that combination of him being on foot and seemingly not very bright along with emotional/substance abuse problems would make him careless. Also with his repeated arrests I assumed he wasn’t a very crafty criminal and her hiding spot would be easy to find. I think the police made the same assumptions which is why they have searched the house 3 times. I’m baffled.

I think the hours are fewer because he had to be rid of her by daylight, imo. No one has reported seeing him walking around with a little girl. After his sister went to bed, I doubt he raced right out the door, he had to wait to be sure she was sleeping. So maybe he left around 3? Daylight by 7, if not sooner? All moo
But this does not change the hours before mom realized Lizzie was gone.

Let Memorial Day be the day Lizzie is found.

That is the only illicit drug mentioned so far. I would say he definitely has an alcohol problem since he bought a six pack soon after leaving the house. It can be very dangerous to use marijuana and alcohol together.
Some people say they will never smoke after drinking, especially if they are already intoxicated, because it messes them up too much. Jmo
