Yeah, the generator gets me. He can't safely run anything with it unless he had a cabin or another house to access.

The issue with the generator is very interesting.... most generators run off of gasoline so he could use the generator to run any electrical. If it was a very good generator, it could run a refrigerator for a day as we've had to use them in hurricanes when the power is lost. Somewhere I read that there are a lot of deep canyons in West and South Utah that are like mine shafts and are uncovered. There was some concern that he could have dumped her in one of these. I really think this was planned out in his mind. He could take no more. His life was coming undone. I've seen his realtor website and he's so full of himself. Gives a bad name to an otherwise honorable profession. IMHO I firmly believe he fits the profile of being an NPD psychopath.

We have a very large LDS population in Vegas. In fact, I live very near to the temple here and in a largely LDS neighborhood.

I don't have any desire to begin a religious debate here, but I have seen, first hand, the LDS position on women in general. It's incongruous in this day and age and it seems to me that Susan was somehow forced into earning a good living for the sake of her family. Under those circumstances, I can see where this may have caused some dissention in the marriage - both ways. Particularly if Josh was a "controlling" husband.

My heart breaks for Susan and her babies. I think most of us here feel that she is no longer living. God willing, LE has a clue as to where she may be and is closing in on her murderer.

ok, i see that the dinner guest was jovonna owings and not kiirsi. i dont really get a girlfriend vibe here either but its not impossible, im reserving the right to revisit this idea if need be :crazy: i was married to a narcissistic personality disorder stoopid man that was a total control freak and he didnt have any problems with cheating on me...anything is possible with these people, unfortunately. also wanted to mention the thought by i think it was passionflower about putting her in the car with her thinking he was going to take her to the hospital and then abandoning her out in the woods someplace...that scares the shi* out of me. the statement from the little one about mommy is gonna stay out in the woods for awhile, that is bothering me. also the generator is bugging me. he didnt need to "test" it, he needed it for something - heat in a vacant home as some have mentioned, but could there be any other use or need? and the wet spot on the floor, if it was blood i think he would have already been arrested? and if it is vomit well poison could make a person sick, a head injury can cause vomiting and so can earaches...what kind of poison could he of used that would work so fast? dont most things like antifreeze, arsenic take awhile? what about rat poison?

Susan Powell's friend, Kiirsi Hellewell, said she saw her Sunday afternoon walking home from church, which Josh Powell did not attend. JoVonna Owings said she had dinner with the couple and their children around 4 p.m. and that Susan Powell was wearing a long-sleeve black shirt and black pants.

Yes they can. It will be pure luck or a good cell phone ping (unlikely in many places out there) to find her. We have people all the time who drive out in the West Desert to commit suicide (I knew two men who did this) it takes months or years before they and their vehicles are located. There will be alot of people wandering around the dessert when the weather warms up, 4 wheeling, looking for wild horse herds, etc. In the fall there are ranchers rounding up their cattle to bring them in. There is hunting all year for small game.

I'm going to pray Josh breaks down and tells where he put Susan.

I agree - I had a VERY controlling/abusive husband about 10 years back. We had separate bedrooms and it drove him crazy. That is a huge amount of control to lose. Looking back, I think he was capable of just about anything... I was just lucky to get out when I did - so a very good and accurate point you make.

Hello to all the members of the Friends and Family of Susan Powell Facebook page,

We wanted send out a message to recap some of the past couple days events, and look forward to the future and how you all can help in bringing Susan home. We first want to thank the many people who have been dedicated over the last few days doing so many things. We also would like to give our deepest sincere thoughts to all of Susan's family and closest friends. Today we passed 1000 members that all share the same hope that we bring Susan home soon.

So the last couple days of course many things have been going on. Over the last 48 hours the media attention has really taken a upswing which is great because it gets Susan's disappearance out to many people. Last night of course was the first Candle Light Vigil and it was a great turn out. Today brought on more media, including much national attention. Many of these media clips have been posted on the group page.

Now on too some plans for this weekend. Bishop Richman has announced that the Hunter 36th Ward is holding a special fast this weekend for Susan. They will meet at the stake center (3930 South 6000 West) at noon on Saturday to have a prayer to begin the fast. They ask that families end the fast in their homes as families. They are inviting everyone to participate with them.

Also on Saturday there will be some major flier distribution efforts. First Kayla posted this excellent news "A special thanks to Fedex Kinkos for donating 1000 copies, giving us a $150.00 discount on 2000 copies and post net for donating 100 copies to pass out. Thank you Emily for paying for the 2000 copies and Kristie VanWangner for driving me all over the place to pick them up. I have 3400 copys!!!" So we now have pleanty of the missing persons posters to 'paint the town Susan' on Saturday. We want everyone out shopping, and doing other things to constantly see her picture. Fliers will be available at Noon at the Stake Center right after the fast begins.

Then tomorrow night we need some folks to brave the cold and hand out fliers at the Jazz game. We cannot be inside the arena but have permission to be outside giving out the fliers. The game starts at 9:00. We would like those coming to meet at Gateway Mall at the Fountain at 6:30 to pass fliers there before going to the arena.

Understood.... I am LDS and very proud of my religion. Unfortunately in any highly patriarchal community, you have room for oppression, error and abuse. It's not the church, it's the individual's improper understanding of the church theology along with a serious mental disorder....
