I keep forgetting about the fans and the wet spot! This kinda leads me to believe she wasn't strangled - but possibly something more violent. (It really hurts to type that). If that is the case, luminol will do the trick - no matter what the killer did to clean it up.

i was just thinking that vomit doesnt necessarily indicate death like a massive amount of blood would...

If Susan was killed in the home, the wet spot on the carpet could have been because (ya'll forgive me please) her bladder and bowels let go after death. Sorry, but it happens

Yes they can. It will be pure luck or a good cell phone ping (unlikely in many places out there) to find her. We have people all the time who drive out in the West Desert to commit suicide (I knew two men who did this) it takes months or years before they and their vehicles are located. There will be alot of people wandering around the dessert when the weather warms up, 4 wheeling, looking for wild horse herds, etc. In the fall there are ranchers rounding up their cattle to bring them in. There is hunting all year for small game.

I'm going to pray Josh breaks down and tells where he put Susan.

Thank you, SuziQ. I'm pinning quite a lot of hope on the cell phone pings in this case - at least to narrow down where JP went that night/morning.

I also hope that Josh will just crumble and give it up. He may have been a controlling, narcissistic husband, but he doesn't strike me as the sharpest tool in the shed.

Nope. The LDS church got rid of that a long time ago. It is the fundamentalists that continue that tradition now... and technically are breaking the law. Some get away with it... some even life down the road from me (kind of like Big Love - which is based in Sandy)... and then you have the Jeffs... not so lucky the last few years.

:dervish: I so agree with you. IMO, JP has got those same, dead eyes as SP & MH. The dead "shark's eyes" of a sociopath, according to the Talking Head shrinks on all the shows.

I completely agree about the "dead eyes". They are without souls. There is some discussion in the profession of psychology that sociopaths are criminal oriented and psychopaths do not generally commit petty crimes. There is no distinction in the DSM right now though. Psychopathy is not an official diagnosis. The only area that they can study sociopathy is in the prison system because psychopaths do not seek medical help and they are "sub-criminal". ie "Snakes in Suits". I do not believe that Josh is a sociopath.... I do not know of any criminal history. IMHO, I believe he is a psychopath with strong narcissistic (NPD) tendencies.

If LE tested carpet etc in house, when would the tests be back?
Blood, body fluids fast.....luminal right?
Then they must prove he did it, and a timeline before he can be arrested?

That is true, plus I wonder if she may have lost control of her bladder.

I know right now since it's winter weather it's not possible for us to have noticed anything, but I do hope she was able to leave some marks on the person who may have attacked her. I hope LE is closing in on things.

Channel 2 KUTV is going to have a live interview with Susan's father tonight...

And not much to report. Said he will not speculate on Josh until he has more information... thanked people for all their work... met with the police for many hours to talk about everything he knew about Susan. That was about it. Felt so bad for the man. Looked like he was about to pass out - he was just drained. There was also a mention of a possible polygraph for Josh - but LE would not confirm or deny.

Why do so many spouses seem to pick the holiday time to do evil acts? I'm thinking of SP and him picking Christmas Eve. It just seems to make it even worse if that's possible, a way to forever put a dark mark on the holiday for anyone who loves the victim.

Yes, it was said on the local news the other day that she didn't come to Utah due to health reasons. Poor woman, I can't imagine what this has done to her.

Murder, unless it's self defense or legal execution ,is a narcissistic act. And I can't stand the people who think these types can be helped and fight to get them off death row and out of prison.

ding ding ding about the "financial troubles" and bankruptcy

earlier I had mentioned that it seemed that Josh was not all that great a breadwinner

his "real estate" biz seemed to be mostly just a self serving website and his "promotions" company website looked ridiculous, like a kid did it in 1997 or something...

I had earlier "guessed' that he was on the financial outs...and this new info confirms it..
he was set to "start a new job">> I still would be interested to see how long he has been out of work or barely working etc (ie, messing with his "business ideas" like the promo company etc)

I think in the end that his long suffering wife may have given him an ultimatum..that she wanted a divorce...

as in ..."you start your job tommorrow...fine, please lets end this, move out and you can now get on your feet with your new job"

Someone Josh currently worked with has been quoted in the press. It was also this employer's Christmas party that Josh and Susan attended the Saturday evening before she went missing on Sunday.

Maybe there is some misinformation going around about his current employment status.
