SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — Loved ones and officials are searching for a missing woman from Salt Lake City.

Valerie Gardner, 46, was last seen leaving work at Sundance Catalog in West Valley City at around 4 p.m. Friday.

Her family said they last received a text from Gardner at 8 p.m. Friday, but they are not sure where she was at that time.

Gardner is described as being 5'5" with dark hair.

Her family said she drives a black 2012 Hyundai Sonata with the license plate G823BB.

Police said they are investigating the case and ask anyone with information to call dispatch at 801-799-3000 and reference case number 21-218461.

Oh my. I pray her death was a swift and painless one. Bring stuck there injured for a month doesn't bear thinking about. RIP dear lady.

Gardner was last seen leaving work in West Valley City on Nov. 26. On that day, the UHP received a 911 call from another motorist who thought they saw a car go into the ravine off the frontage road near the intersection of the Bangerter Highway and state Route 201.

"We did get a 911 call on that afternoon during the time frame she most likely would have been driving through that area," said Hawkes.

But two troopers who responded to the area and searched could not find a car or any evidence of a crash, such as tire tracks in the dirt, Hawkes said.
