Nofsinger signed an agreement to plead guilty to federal child charges last week

I think about Alyssa and Anastasia very often. What happened to them is so far beyond comprehension and it will be one of those crimes I never forget reading about. There is no sentence in the world that will ever be harsh enough for what he did to those poor innocent people.

Murder charges headline Carroll indictments

Nofsinger was indicted Monday for one count each of capital murder and first-degree murder in the March 10, 2016 deaths of Alyssa Kenny and her infant daughter, Anastasia Alley.

"Weight lifted off" family of Galax mother, daughter after killer sentenced

GALAX, Va. (WDBJ7) A Galax man will spend the rest of his life in prison for killing a mother and her daughter last year.

Richard Nofsinger was sentenced to two consecutive life terms. The move in court was a surprise to many who were bracing for a long trial.

Instead he took a deal and pleaded guilty to capitol murder and first-degree murder charges.

"He's already dead inside everyday, because that's where he'll live, in that cage," said Rose Kenny, Kenny's aunt.

He also got 60 years for child .

Infrequent poster here, but Investigation Discovery channel show "Murder comes to Town" will be about Alyssa and Ana on June 26th at 9 pm EST. I have never forgotten this lovely mother and daughter.

Wow, i just watched that episode.

He strangled Alyssa with a vacuum cord, and suffocated Ana

He was the one who called police about 'finding the bodies' he said he was her neighbor and he was the first they interviewed and gave his DNA.
